On Cyber Monday, Spirit Airlines is offering double points, incentives for vacation packages, and even more points for Free Spirit elite members.

Free 500 Free Spirit Points Just For Registering

Spirit Airlines is offering 500 Free Spirit points to anyone who registers for the sales promotion whether they make a booking or not. Visitors to this link do not need to have a Free Spirit loyalty account created already, and this free points bonus is available to anyone. Even if you’re not a Spirit Airlines frequent flyer or aren’t sure when and if you’ll fly them, these points can be redeemed for other items like magazine subscriptions starting at 200 points.

If you’re a Spirit credit card holder or a Free Spirit elite member, you can pool points with up to eight travelers which could create up to 4,000 free points for the pool if everyone registers.

Double Points on Cyber Monday Bookings

For Cyber Monday, Spirit is offering double points on all bookings but an even higher rate for elite members:

“For one day only, Free Spirit® members get 12x points, Silver members get 16x and Gold members get 20x on every dollar spent on fares.” – conveyed in a Spirit Airlines promotional email.

For those who might package in a hotel, car, or cruise, Spirit Vacations members get an additional bonus on top of the aforementioned.

“Free Spirit® members can also earn 1,000 points on every Spirit Vacations purchased on Cyber Monday.”

For those who do not hold status, a $500 (before taxes and fees) vacation package would earn a total 6,000 points plus 1,000 point bonus for a total of 7,000 points. Gold members booking the same would clear 11,000 points total. Redemption fares start as low as 2,500 points so there’s a serious value for Free Spirit flyers in this promotion.

Spirit is an Ultra Low Cost Carrier (ULCC) that charges for everything a la carte, though almost every airline in the United States now also charges for checked bags, seat assignments, and priority boarding. However, Spirit is one of the only carriers that allows Free Spirit members to earn elite-qualifying points from those ancillary purchases and adds a bonus to do so.

With one of the most extensive networks from the US to Latin America, I am tempted to secure a last minute boarding pass to some place new for my family this winter.

Conclusion

Spirit Airlines is offering a bonus for anyone who registers for its Cyber Monday promotion whether they book and fly or not. For those who book a flight during the promotion they will earn either 12 points per dollar, 16 for Silver elite, or 20 for Gold elite members. Those who book vacation packages can add another 1,000 point bonus on top of that. If readers are considering a Spirit trip, this would be the time to buy it.

What do you think? Did you register for the promotion? Are you considering buying a Spirit flight on Cyber Monday?
