Dear United and Continental, Have you considered this livery?

Matthew Klint Posted onMay 30, 2010November 14, 2023 7 Comments

Check out this incredible livery that FTer UAL4life designed. Not only does it blend the best of both airlines, but it is elegantly simple and would not require a great deal of extra labor to paint.

Far better than this monstrosity.

    Huh, that’s decent looking. “United” in CO’s font is pretty hideous.

    @gluedtothewindow: It sure does.

    I’m really impressed by the tulip/globe. So simple, yet so nice.

    That is really nice. maybe the marketing folks at UA/CO will see that and push it through

    I guess this works better than the first UA-CO proposal. I still believe the United SHIELD (the “tulip” is a highly stylized version of the shield) should be preserved. The old red, white and blue shield dates back to the 1920s. That’s true aviation history. Would American abandon the Eagle?

    @UnitedHistorian: And CO used a red, white, and blue shield as well. That wouldn’t be a bad new logo…

    I really like the one above, though.

    Continental had the most beautiful livery in the sky: simple, classy, understated. It set forward a very professional and comforting image. United liveries for the past 30 years have been tasteless and garish.

    Thankfully the new company kept the Continental brand image.

    @Chief Pilot: On this we, disagree! 😉

    I don’t like the bingo machine and shade of blue.

    But what’s wrong with the composite image above?
