Before my Delta Air Lines flight to Amsterdam, I had time to visit all five Sky Club locations in Detroit’s beautiful McNamara Terminal. This review highlights the A68 Club.

Seating
This is a much smaller lounge than the A43 lounges and is rectangular in shape with couches, chairs, great tarmac views and the food and beverage area in the back of the lounge.
Food + Drink
Beverage stations with coffee and water are located around the lounge, but the main eating area is in the rear of the lounge, with a number of hot and cold items.
The midday lunch selection was similar to the A38 Sky Club and included:
- salads
- Waldorf chicken
- apple, cranberry, walnut, kale
- potato
- buffalo bleu cheese pasta
- sandwiches
- turkey swiss
- ham cheddar
- hummus with veggies
- charcuterie board
- chicken Parmesan
- cheese tortellini
- soup
- beef barley
- Miss Vickies potato chips
- Cheez-It crackers
- peanut butter granola bars
- chocolate brownies
- bannans
In the same area, a full-service bar offered a selection of alcoholic beverages:
Complimentary drinks included a number of wines, bottom-end spirits, and Veuve duVernay sparkling wine (about $12/bottle). Soft drinks are self-serve.
I’m sure the circular eating room is quite cozy when the fireplace is turned on, but it was off despite the very cold day outside.
In the center of the lounge there was a coffee station with decaf and regular filter coffee from Starbucks as well as water (still and sparkling).
Restrooms + Showers
Restrooms are located inside the lounge. No showers in this lounge.
CONCLUSION
I don’t get a chance to visit Delta Sky Clubs very often and was impressed at the generous selection of food. I also appreciated how quiet this lounge was, with very people utilizing it on a quiet winter afternoon.
Was mask enforcement strict? Or is it just when you’re walking around that the requirement is enforced?
Not strict at all. No one wore masks unless getting food.
Awesome! Thanks. Matthew!
I haven’t been back to the Detroit clubs since pre-pandemic, looks like they’ve put a table in that club in front of what was a self-service bar the last time I passed through DTW in 2019.
What are the free beers in that club? I see three taps but none on the what’s complimentary sign? There was a local beer I liked drinking in the Detroit SkyClubs pre-pandemic, wondering if its still free.
Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer now. I’m on an alcohol-free diet right now and didn’t even look closely.
It’s because of your wife I’m sure 🙁
Matthew,
You forgot to mention that Virgin Atlantic Gold members also get access to Delta Clubs as long as they are flying to or from the UK the same day.
The Delta terminal at DTW is arguably the best domestic airport terminal despite being 20 years old.
Like all the legacy Northwest clubs in Detroit, this was self-serve alcohol until the pandemic. Now they have a makeshift staffed bar. All the booze is free — no non-complimentary menu here.
Delta doesn’t consider the many patrons that have Tree nut allergies. Nuts in the chicken salad now and also the kale salad!
Isnt Delta Reserve from Amex also $39 per guest like Amex platinum?
I enjoyed this club a lot. We flew from MIA with a stop in DTW Dec 2021. There was a good choice of food to please me for a good dinner on a long day of travel. And I enjoyed the red wine I got from the bar. I would say they weren’t particularly attentive to items low in stock – the picked over dessert bar needing a restock for one.
