Writing my review of the Delta Sky Club in Concourse A of Atlanta reminded me of an incident that occurred outside the restroom featuring a very angry man, enraged over the signage Delta chose to use for its “all gender” lounge restrooms.
Atlanta Passenger Livid Over Delta’s Transgender Restrooms In Sky Club
This particular Sky Club had four “all gender” restrooms: individual bathrooms that feature a toilet and a sink.
There was a line to use the restroom and I found myself in line next to a man who suddenly became very angry.
He looked closely at the sign and noticed there wasn’t just a male and female silhouette, but a third that appeared to be wearing both trousers and a dress…designating a transgender person.
He pointed to it, turned to me, and said, “Trump is going to fix all this sh*t! We’ve had enough of it!” I stared at him, without responding, and he continued, “What kind of a g*d*mn bathroom is this? It’s f*cking insanity.”
Thankfully, a bathroom opened and he went inside, thus ending that conversation.
My only commentary is that frankly it would not surprise me if we do see that bathroom sign come down…while Delta has maintained its commitment to “DEI” policies for now, there appears to be a shift in the Zeitgeist going on concerning transgenderism in the USA that will outlast even the Trump administration.
United just opened a refurbished Polaris Lounge in Chicago and its “all gender” restrooms only have the male and female symbols, not a third option. Delta is certainly making a cultural statement with its choice of restroom signs.

Rather than fight culture wars, can’t we all celebrate individual bathroom stalls? I far prefer individual restrooms to shared space in which you can hear your neighbor’s flatus or have to stand next to some guy while it all hangs out.
CONCLUSION
I understand why Delta’s bathroom sign can be triggering, but I’m happy to simply celebrate private lavatories…it’s a much better approach to restrooms than shared spaces! The man’s foul language bothered me, but it struck me as another sign of the cultural barometer…culture is like a pendulum that may swing too far left or right and we are seeing it swing back from left to right at this point…this was just another example of it.
What are your thoughts on Delta’s choice of bathroom signage?
All of the what otherwise would be known as “family restrooms” at O’hare are labeled as “all gender”. One time I saw a hillbilly looking guy taking a picture of the sign in the terminal… I’m sure he couldn’t wait to show all the guys at the pool hall what he saw in the big bad librul city.
I’m sure in the cultured world of Billy Bob, chicks with d*cks are the summit of sophistication that all the backwards hicks in flyover country just don’t appreciate. Of course, weak and impotent as you are, your only recourse is to complain about him on the internet.
I noticed the bathrooms because I have kids so I need to change them in those bathrooms. The only kids you’ll ever have are the ones you flush down the toilet 5 times a day
They probably belong to whomever your wife is banging when you’re raging on the internet about Trump.
I do enjoy seeing you insist on making a complete fool of yourself to a bunch of strangers online. So triggered. So fragile.
@Billy Bob ‘All of the what otherwise would be known as “family restrooms”
EXACTLY!
Maybe they should be called “PERSON” restrooms or something like that.
Is it illegal to share those individual bathrooms with 2 or more people?
I wanted to see the guy’s reaction when 2 people come out of the stall. When there’s a line up, I always appreciate when they finish their business quickly, though.
That doesn’t sound angry, it sounds more like mildly annoyed by Delta’s tiresome woke shenanigans.
Don’t be so sensitive, blogger boy.
It’s an individual restroom! That snowflake should just get over himself.
These bathrooms are not per se “transgender bathrooms.”. They are bathrooms appropriate for EVERYONE. Also, it is incorrect to even assume the third symbol signifies “transgender.”. The sign basically says the bathroom is open to anybody, regardless of what they look like. I think it is rather offensive to even imply/suggest that trans people are half male/half female, and I don’t think that was the intent of the people at Delta.
Obviously, the angry man in your story was all stuck on his anti-trans rhetoric, and he interpreted as the signage in offense of his angry sentiment.
Imagine if he was upset about something that really matters
Everyone’s got an opinion about everything
Calling them “all gender bathrooms” is offensive because it exclude people who don’t identify as having a gender. It must be made ear that everybody has the right to use them, whether they have one gender, multiple genders or none at all.
The graphics are also offensive, because they assume gender-fluid people have a right-left division, completely excluding those with top-bottom or back-fore division.
I suggest replacing the sign with a white board plus erasable marker, so everyone can label the space in a way that represents their identity optimally.
Geesh. Why get angry over something that isn’t a problem? Delta should place Maga Meme coin vending machines inside. ( trading at 20 cents. ) . and angry man could feel proud for the economic rape of this nation.
Last year I was at a bar in Budapest, it had a men’s restroom, a women’s restroom, and one labeled, “We don’t care, as long as you wash your hands”
“Look! Loooook!!! You might have to pee where someone you don’t understand pee’d. Be outRAGEd!!”
(If we’re loud and angry enough, nobody will notice the other stuff we’re doing.)
It doesn’t bother me, as long as the chick with a d#ck sits down and doesn’t pee all over the seat.
But I guarantee these signs were ordered by some woke joke DEI hire trying to make a point.
And a simple drawing of a huge c#ck with a Sharpie on the he/she will give everyone with a sense of humor a good laugh.
Imagine how p.o’d the guy would have been if the Braille had been on the silhouettes instead of under the words “all gender.” Actually it would be easier if they put a sign on the door that read “them.” That would pretty much cover everybody.
The sign is bad. It should read ‘”restroom ”
Actually mens and women’s restrooms assume nobody is gay. Gay people should go to the opposite gender restroom but tell people inside he or she is homo
But where will all those closeted Republican representatives/senators go to get their fix of dicks? Lady Lindsay Graham surely isn’t about to declare his lust for cock, right? Or Madison Cawthorn? He’s not about to just wheel himself into some bathroom if he had to admit he was supergay. Though, he *is* at the perfect height to take care of someone’s tumescence.
Shift in Zeitgeist? Stuck in your echo chamber. More than half the US supports LGBTQ Community. Time will tell.
LGTBQ is a broad rainbow and not everyone who supports the LGB supports the T, especially LGB folks who view the T as incompatible.
Of course, time will tell…but we’re seeing a pushback on gender transition for minors and the female sports issue and I think that will only intensify.
Blah blah blah
You are a hater!
And a Jesus freak!
Why are you calling people names? Is that how you normally interact with someone you disagree with?
I am a Jesus freak, but definitely not a hater like Jane.
@Jane: Grace and peace to you and may you find the tolerance that so clearly evades you.
… and there are many of us who agree with this.
Most of us LGB’s just want to live in peace and not force our beliefs on anyone.
I hope that is true of all of us.
You’re not keen on history, are you? In case you need a reminder, you (well, not you. Better people than you) had to fight for the right to live in peace. That right *was* “forcing your beliefs” on other people, in the minds of bigots. I hope you can see the irony, seeing as how trans people just want to live in peace too.
But I doubt this will go anywhere. After all, the author can “understand” why people are bigots, which doesn’t give me much hope for them. “F*ck you, got mine”, eh?
It’s a shame this person is so triggered by something so innocuous. I feel bad for his kids. I’m sure they’d be ashamed.
This from someone who supports Israel but refuses to admit that the West Bank settlements are not a good idea.
You are fragile!
Not sure what blog you are reading, but I’ve condemned the West Bank settlements for years…
The ironic portion of all of this is that transgender people prefer to be identified by their preferred gender, which is either female or male. So having the trousers/pants character is actually unnecessary in the first place. If they’re trying to include genderfluid or non-binary people, cool. But even then, no character is needed because there’s no visual way to depict that. So maybe just call it “Individual Restroom” or “Individual Bathroom Cubicle”. I’m a male who “identifies” as male, and I support trans friends, family, and neighbors because it doesn’t affect me at all. Live and let live. But the people making the most noise about all this are people that are vehemently opposed to something that doesn’t affect them remotely. What a strange hill to die on.
The man’s language was out of line, but Delta brings this on themselves for supporting the extremes of the Democrat Party.
But at least Delta is consistent, unlike Kirby who was Captain Democrat until Trump won then became Col Republican
Derek: First, restroom labeling is not “extremes”, perhaps you should take a moment to reflect on what in your life is causing you to be bothered or triggered by this? Second, Delta is far from a Democrat or liberal company, rather as an airline with a global and likely high-income customer base, Delta is aligning with its customers values and sentiments (how capitalist!).
Also, a reminder that the Delta Sky Clubs are non-public, membership based lounges – no one is being forced to visit or join. Perhaps you’d be more comfortable in a FOX News Lounge? I can only imagine the atmosphere there… hostile to women, gays, dark skinned people; but I’m sure they’d serve a lot of fake cheese with their RFK Jr. designed menu. LOL.
I really like single occupancy restrooms. They should be available for anyone.
I don’t care what kind of signage they use.
I don’t really understand why the whole transgender thing gets some people so angry.
I like the signs that say “whatever, just wash your hands”.
I’m a proud coastal elite bleeding heart liberal and these signs trigger me too.
I don’t understand why it can’t just say “individual” restroom because that is what it is.
By the way, has anyone been to the new restrooms on the D concourse at Sea-Tac airport? It’s one big restroom for “all genders” with individual stalls and a side room with urinals. Hopefully Trump will fix this too before that guy flies to Seattle on Alaska or AA.
What is the point of spelling the 4-letter words the way you do? We know what it is and we say it to ourselves when we read it. It doesn’t make any sense to do that. Who would be offended by reading the full word?
Google gets offended.
@ Matthew — The transgender issue is about as stupid of an issue as anything ever. Who gives a F? The guy complaining is clearly an idiot.
I can only imagine how terrible it must be to be so small-minded that this offends you. Life must be a real struggle.
I’m socially conservative, but I have no issue with Delta’s bathroom logo. If bathrooms are single sex then I want them to be single sex, not single gender by ID. But individual bathrooms? This is a nice way of saying “these are individual cubicles regardless of your gender ID”.
There’s a big difference between “I don’t want to share my bathroom with someone of the other sex” and “I don’t want to use a bathroom that has just been used by someone who identifies as Trans”. The first is reasonable, the second is just prejudiced.
the restrooms on the plane are gender neutral……..who cares?????
Buncha snowflakes in these comments getting triggered by a free American standing up against the Woke agenda…President Trump is ending this madness thank God…
