Woman Breastfeeds Her Cat On Delta Flight (Lurid Details From Flight Attendant)

A woman was observed breastfeeding her cat on a Delta Air Lines flight to Atlanta and refused to stop when confronted, according to the hilarious account of a flight attendant onboard.

Woman Breastfeeds Her Cat Onboard Delta Flight, Refused To Stop, According To Detailed Flight Attendant Report

A picture has made it rounds on social media of an Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) message from the pilot to the ground, which says “Req. Redcoat meet AC Pax in 13A is breastfeeding a cat and will not put cat back in its carrier when FA requested.”

I saw this on Reddit today. It’s an a ACARS in-flight message from the cockpit to the ground.

Also, civilization had a good run. pic.twitter.com/AjQhIaE80H

(Redcoat = Delta’s elite airport customer service experts, AC Pax = airline passenger, 13A = her seat number, FA = flight attendant)

While Delta has refused to comment, the incident purportedly occurred on DL1360 from Syracuse (SYR) to Atlanta (ATL) in early November.

Ainsley Elizabeth, who claims to have been a flight attendant on the flight, added on TikTok on November 13th:

“This woman had one of those, like, hairless cats swaddled up in a blanket so it looked like a baby. Her shirt was up and she was trying to get the cat to latch and she wouldn’t put the cat back in the carrier. And the cat was screaming for its life.”

The passenger went on to take out a packet of butter, spread it over her nipple, and continue to try and breastfeed the cat.

(she deleted her account, but her video has survived…watch it)

Elizabeth added:

“What does she do at home if she’s doing that in public? And then security met the flight just to tell her that she couldn’t do that again, cause it was weird and gross.”

Yep.

Elizabeth initially posted the following on November 2nd:

I think that’s enough internet for today. hats off to you @ainsleytheaviator

If a prosecutor was so inclined, the woman could face charges under 49 US Code Sec 46506 for Lewd and Lascivious Acts Aboard an Aircraft.

As for the cat, can you imagine the poor thing screaming? What a strange incident.

In case you were wondering, emotional support animals must stay in a pet carrier underneath the seat.

CONCLUSION

121pilot shared the ACARS image above with me more than two weeks ago. I held off on writing about this, but as the story has continued to gain attention, did want to address it. Part of me hopes this is all a hoax, but what a strange world we live in when women area breafastfeeding their cats on airplanes…

Don’t you mean “…face charges under 49 US Code Sec 46506 for Lewd and Lascivious CATS Aboard an Aircraft.” 🙂

The cat was probably screaming because it wasn’t used to masking between sips.

    @Matthew

“Women area breafastfeeding” should be “lactating persons are breastfeeding.”

I actually did consider writing that. But nah, not going to play that game.

          So true @Jan.

“Pregnant people” end up as “lactating persons”…

          We’ve gone crazy.

There are videos of mama cats adopting and feeding other species such as rabbits and the like. When we see that we go “awww”, with people it verges on bestiality, and we go “ewww’. One vowel and species makes all the difference, no?

Breastfeeding a cat? This sounds absurd to the point of straining credulity. Cats have very rough tongues. I can only imagine it’d be like massaging one’s nipple with sandpaper. Who would do that???

People are weirded out by this but not with humans drinking milk from a cow?

I think it’s more the mental imagery of the scene on the plane rather than the milk itself.

So what you’re saying is that you regularly head down to your local dairy farm, slide under an unsuspecting bovine, plop a nipple in your mouth, then go to town for your calcium like a calf. You do you.

You seen humans go up to cows and put the cow’s utter in their mouth and just start drinking their milk?

I keep wondering how, if I were a FA, with any authority, what would I have done….especially as someone who protects and defends all critters…..It’s not clear if the kitty needed food and if milk was the only thing the kitty drank? Could cow’s milk suffice? I would have asked and offered if any were aboard. Did this woman truly have milk to offer? I guess an apparent mental health issue…If the cat was screaming, it sounds like obvious abuse…Will charges be pressed by anyone or any company like the airline…will kitty testify? Bless the attorney who gets the case….

First of all, hairless cats need to be held close and preferably against human. They have no hair or fur ( hence the name hairless cat) and get cold very easily. I have a friend that has one and she has to hold him all the time, wrapped in a blanket or sweater, against her chest. Secondly, there is no way an adult cat is going to even know what to do with a nipple, human or otherwise. The woman may have been trying to entice kitty with a buttery nip but as I said an adult puddy won’t “latch on.” I think someone saw the woman holding puddy wrapped up and close to her nips and assumed she was up nipply behavior. Conclusion? It didn’t happen! Can’t believe how dumb some ppl are!

Lots of videos out there with women breast feeding cats… So this is definitely possible.
