United Passenger Claims She’s Sober, Then Tries To Bite Police Officer At DFW

Despite the best efforts of police officers at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to calm her down and assist her, a United Airlines passenger was so overtly intoxicated that she eventually lashed out at officers, was arrested, then tried to bite officers as she was restrained in handcuffs.

Meltdown: Intoxicated United Passenger Flips Out At DFW Airport

Police bodycam footage begins with officers approaching a woman who went by the name “India, like on the map” at a security checkpoint at DFW. She was asked to show her ID and boarding pass, but appeared to have neither one.

She explained she was denied boarding the previous day by TSA officers because her Texas state ID had broken in half. She was sent home and told to return with other identifying documents like a birth certificate and social security card in order to fly without a valid ID.

It appears her final destination was Fresno, California (FAT) on United Airlines, though she first told officers she was flying to “San Francisco in Southern California.”

A police officer approached the United counter to enquire about her ticket status and the United agents were puzzled too. United did not deny her boarding…nor were they aware of the reason she had been rebooked. The United staffers did confirm they had seen her pacing up and down the concourse in front of the check-in area, yelling and cursing into her phone.

At one point, police asked her where her bag was and she claimed she did not have one, then said she left it in the restroom, then claimed it was in the security line. Turns out it was in the security line, but she had left it in the (men’s) restroom the previous day.

She was eventually asked if she had been drinking and denied it, then said she had “a little hours ago, but not even a shot.” Even at that point, the police continued to try to cajole her into walking away, but she became boisterous and was arrested for public intoxication…where she then proceeded to resist arrest and try to bite one of the officers.

The video ends as she is unloaded from the car at the police station, screaming that her rights are being violated and that her boyfriend is an attorney.

Kudos to the police officers for their patience throughout this entire ordeal.

CONCLUSION

The woman is so clearly intoxicated it’s almost mind-boggling. This is a 29-minute video and statement after statement, word after word just doesn’t make sense.

Part of me did not want to post it…it’s not to make fun of her or demean her. Instead, it’s another warning that intoxication–whether by alcohol or other controlled substances–can have devastating consequences.

On the day Saudi Arabia announced it will partially lift a ban on alcohol next year, I’m not calling on everyone to be teetotalers, but this is a vivid reminder that alcohol must be consumed responsibly…

Intoxicated or not, something tells me that She’s acted this way several times in the past. And THIS is exactly how they grow up and behave when Mommy and Daddy failed to deliver a swift backhand when the behavior first manifested at home

Is it necessary to arrest her? Only in the good ole USA would someone like this get arrested. That’s why we have the highest incarceration rate of any developed country. Warn her, watch her, leave her be.

She’s a potential danger to herself and those around her and she needs to be removed immediately.

It appears that her problems go deeper than alcohol and maybe this interaction is the catalyst for her to receive treatment.

She should’ve been stoned. Like in Saudi Arabia.
