Have we really come to this point? Have we really reached a state of affairs in which flight attendants will simply ignore sexual acts being performed on an airplane for everyone to see? Because that is exactly what appears to have happened on a flight operated on behalf of American Airlines.
Flight Attendants Ignore Passengers Engaged In Congress In Economy Class
It’s not clear when the incident took place, but a few things appear to be going on:
- The incident takes places on a regional jet operating on behalf of American Airlines
- A woman appears to give a man fellatio
- During the encounter, two flight attendants walk by and say nothing
Yes, there is a video. No, I am not embedding it here. Part of me hopes it is an elaborate TikTok joke, like the man who pretended to cook a steak in the lavatory. But part of me is not even surprised. What should surprise us anymore after a year of horrible behavior onboard?
Wryly, the person who posted this on Twitter said:
This went on for 25 minutes as American Airlines flight attendants said nothing. However they did yell at four people to put their masks on after each bite… Did American find the cure?
Yes, apparently some people did not have to wear a mask in between bites…
CONCLUSION
I hesitated posting this at all because I think it is really quite vile. It’s truly disgusting. But the fact that not just one but two flight attendants simply ignored this makes it a noteworthy story. If this is how flight attendants treat poor behavior onboard, what good will they be when other trouble breaks out?

There’s a substantial difference between a first class suite with the lights off and a packed cabin on a regional jet with the lights on, cameras rolling, and FAs walking down the aisle. I received an HJ from a seatmate on a United flight from LAX to LHR sometime around 1995 or so. We used the blanket for cover but given the angle at which the FAs can see the seats as they walk the aisle, there’s little doubt some FAs (including the purser) saw us. They were totally indifferent. This was before I got sober so what at the time I thought was a cool experience now looks embarrassing and disrespectful of the passengers around us. Glad I finally grew up.
