After a lovely afternoon in the Blühende Barock, we sat down for an enjoyable cup of coffee in the quaint German city of Ludwigsburg.
Best Coffee In Ludwigsburg, Germany
Ludwigsburg is a city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg about 12 kilometers north of Stuttgart. The city was settled during the Hallstatt period of the Bronze Age and was also. occupied by the Romans at the end of the first century thanks to the city’s strategic position along the Neckar River.
The name of the city comes from Ludwigsburg Palace, built by Duke Eberhard Ludwig von Württemberg in 1718.
After a pleasant afternoon strolling through the palace grounds and re-visiting the Blühende Barock (a retro theme park that pays homage to some of the most famous German fairytales), we stopped for coffee before proceeding back to the rest of the family.
I found a place called Bønne Café & Bar.

There were many coffee shops in the area, but this one was within walking distance (though it was so hot we drove…).
Finding a seat under a shaded terrace across the street, we reviewed the menu.
Prices were reasonable…I ordered a flat white, the kids had hot chocolate, my mother-in-law had iced coffee, and Heidi had a cup of coffee.
The coffee was very good…although a strike for using UHT milk, which I find perfectly dreadful.
We went inside to use the restroom before leaving and the indoor dining area was also very nice…but everyone wanted to sit outside, apparently.
Ask for fresh milk if you’re a stickler like me, but otherwise, this place was great.
Is ulh milk also UHT. I tried to google with no answer. I was hoping there might be a better alternative to the dreaded UHT.
Was a typo on my part. I meant UHT. Sorry!
Darn. I spent hope & effort thinking there was something improved! : )
The schwarzter tea is good in Germany as well.
Do you ever get shitty coffee?
No. I’d rather drink water…
