Marine Confronts Trump Supporter At Atlanta Airport, Calls Him A Terrorist

A confrontation between a US Marine and a Trump supporter at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport demonstrates the deep fissures in American society that will take much to overcome.

Trump Supporter Confronted At ATL Airport, Called Terrorist By Marine

WGCL-TV (CBS 46) sent out a reporter to interview returning Trump protestors from Washington, DC. She waited in the baggage claim area near a belt for an arriving DC flight. While interviewing one man wearing a red MAGA hat, another man walked up and gave him a piece of his mind.

The man identified himself as a 20-year Marine veteran and even flashed what presumably was a military ID card. He said to the MAGA supporter, “Y’all are a bunch of [expletive] terrorists.” He responded that he was exercising his free speech and engaged in no vandalism or violence.

Others are interviewed and deny they engaged in violence.

The encounter is healthy in the sense that dialogue and debate is preferred over each side retreating to their own corners and one or both living in a parallel reality (made possible by social media and the vast diversity of [mis]information available online).

But the encounter is unhealthy in that going up to someone and calling them a terrorist is not the way to change hearts and minds. Such charges usually have the opposite effect.

We don’t even know if the guy actually was a Marine or the MAGA guy was in DC to protest. But the exchange is a reminder that as America watches a transfer of power this week, the wounds from the last election run deep and the anger, resentment, and mistrust are great forces we must reckon with in the days ahead.

The Commander of the Marines during his time was a CFR member. Anyone who is a CFR member is a traitor to the Constitution. We had Marines all over the world operating as proxy fighters. The troops, not the brightest, were mentally brainwashed. I am not surprised at this confrontation. The Fact is 80M Americans have beed defrauded by a fraudulent election and the problems are just beginning. The Trump movement is just a rebranded Tea Party movement. Trump can leave but the movement is organic and will continue to divide the country into tax payers and tax eaters. The tax payers are tired of the parasites robbing their production.

Well said on the last part. New York and California pay out huge amounts of taxes that get sucked up by parasite states like Kentucky and Arkansas. Liberal states have been financially supporting conservative states for decades. You’re right that that needs to end.

The Trump tax changes stopped deductions for state income tax. That leveled the flow from non income tax areas. All urban areas have higher taxes. Rural areas don’t support the services and conveniences of a city. No one should pay for something they don’t get a return on. Thats the rub.

No that accelerated the flow from liberal areas to rural areas. Before, residents of higher tax areas, the places where actual economic activity takes place, could deduct unlimited state and local taxes from their adjusted gross income. Now, they can’t so, they pay more taxes. Those taxes are sent to places like Kentucky and Alabama where there is less economic activity in the form of things like farm subsidies and economic incentive zones. Explain to me how paying large scale corporate interests like ConAgra and Cargill extra to grow food that no one will eat or convert into unwanted ethanol that is then subsidized again to put into gasoline is in the best interest of anyone not running in the Iowa caucuses? John is just another misguided right winger who wants socialism for himself and me to pay for it.

This is a narrative that the “progressive” left pushes and is false. Besides that, why would blue states be dumb enough to do that?

Kyle Sammin at The Federalist found that if you look at the amount of money the federal government gives to states on a per capita basis instead, blue states get more; $2,124 per resident. Red states receive just $1,879 on average.

Let’s make a deal. You are given as many chances as you need to show proof of election fraud that resulted in a change in an election outcome in a court of law.

Everytime you are unable to produce any evidence you are hung upside down in times square for 8 hrs and the passers by are allowed to cane you once every 15 minutes. Same deal if the court throws out your evidence but only for 6 hours.

You terrorists can’t even produce any evidence when given a chance. You are terrorists as well as stupid.

      • Joe Reply

        Let’s make another deal.

First, there was never going to be “proof” that conservatives could show unequivocally that there was election fraud (beyond what is typical in each election…because there is always fraud). That is impossible and you know it. So the deal is, let’s think for a change.

Second, the fact is that some states made unconstitutional changes to their election laws this year under the cover of Covid-19. They usurped the process that is required by their own constitution. Therefore, many thousands of votes were counted that should not have been counted. This is indisputable. Remember, the left’s mantra is “never let a crisis go to waste”. Well…they certainly didn’t.

Finally, calling people “terrorists” is not unifying…which is what Biden supposedly called for. I think you are part of the problem with the country.

No Stuart. Let’s make a deal. Stop the hate and smears based on your special snowflake post-modernistic nonsense and understand the fact that there was no way to “prove” that fraud was a fact in a number of states (as is always the case, by the way). That was never going to happen…any more than you can “prove” “white privilege” (just using your standard buddy).

The fact is that the left used the pandemic to force election changes that were unconstitutional in several key states. That cannot be disputed.

I think Joe is willing to concede that there wasn’t sufficient electoral fraud as popularly conceived to have swayed the election. He is not willing to concede that Democratic bodies didn’t subvert electoral laws in an unconstitutional manner. How many times do I have to bring up Republican Party of Pennsylvania v. Boockvar? If Democrats can change the rules, it’s not cheating, right? Just as legalizing crime as leftist DAs are doing solves the problem of crime.

‘In the face of Act 77’s deadline, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, by a vote of four to three, decreed that mailed ballots need not be received by election day…Instead, it imposed a different rule: Ballots are to be treated as timely if they are postmarked on or before election day and are received within three days thereafter. Id., at 48a. In addition, the court ordered that a ballot with no postmark or an illegible postmark must be regarded as timely if it is received by that same date. Id., at 48a, n. 26. The court expressly acknowledged that the statutory provision mandating receipt by election day was unambiguous and that its abrogation of that rule was not based on an interpretation of the statute. Id., at 43a. It further conceded that the statutory deadline was constitutional on its face, but it claimed broad power to do what it thought was needed to respond to a “natural disaster,” and it justified its decree as necessary to protect voters’ rights under the Free and Equal Elections Clause of the State Constitution. Id., at 44a, 45a–47a.’

            https://news.bloomberglaw.com/us-law-week/alito-temporarily-orders-late-arriving-penn-ballots-segregated

Right-minded conservatives have no problem condemning illegal, violent behavior. Why don’t people like Stuart and UA-TDS condemn the violence and destruction waged by leftist radicals? Why did Biden and Harris staffers actually bail them out of jail? Leftists’ overuse of epithets like “racist” and “white supremacist” has robbed those terms of any emotional power they once had. If everyone is racist, no one is racist. The woke and the real white supremacists agree about race anyway.

Why are leftists so hysterical and uncivil? Always with the insults and ad hominem.

            @UA-NYC …ah yes…a “study”.

For every “study” you find, I can find an opposing “study”. You are only showing your confirmation bias.

There was certainly election shenanigans as certain key states changed rules and did that unconstitutionally. That is a fact. They did it under the cover of “covid-19”. The Dims always change election registration and voting rules in favor of increasing the probability of fraud. They never do it the other way and work to decrease this probability. That is also a fact.

          • Joe
            January 19, 2021 at 1:33 pm

@Erock…there was certainly unconstitutional actions taken by key states prior to the 2020 election. No one can credibly challenge that fact.

The Dims have cleverly shifted the narrative to “no court has ruled in favor of Trump’s challenges so there was no fraud”. Well…no. That is not the point. That was never going to happen (finding definitive evidence of x number of fraudulent votes). And the Trump administration should never have led people to believe that in any way. That was their mistake.

One of the amusing things about the Dims and their toady media outlets is that they apparently have severe amnesia about challenging election results. Someone found a tweet from none other than Nancy Pelosi yesterday where she directly challenged the legitimacy of the 2016 election results. Of course, the Dims also spent millions of dollars and three plus years attempting to nullify the 2016 election with the phony and absurd “Russian collusion” narrative. So please spare the fake innocence that your side has not done the same…and even much worse.

            Have a nice day!

Did you cry out about his freedom of expression? Or did it not matter because he wasn’t white nor Roman catholic.

I disagree. I think having an opinion that was personally arrived at rather than spoon-fed from news or social media is great as long as the opinion cites genuine, verifiable facts. Terrorists are people who try to change people’s thoughts or behaviors through fear. If you don’t espouse violence or hatred and follow the law, you are certainly not a terrorist.

Speaking of HIGH STATE INCOME taxes like in Calif or NY or NJ that $$$$ stays in the liberal expensive states it is collected in–it does not go to Arkansas or ??? that is different than the Federal Income taxes that may get shared but because of severe lockdowns the liberal states are getting more taxpayers $$$$ back as their governors make their people suffer!!!!!!!!!!!
