For this week’s Minute Review, we take a look at the aging yet resilient product onboard the LATAM 787-9 business class.
LATAM 787-9 Business Class Minute Review (Video)
Recognizing that I’m a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to writing out reviews and even blogging, I’ve introduced a new video series I call “Minute Reviews.” These are meant to provide very digestible reviews of airline products, giving you a high-level overview of what to expect.
This week, my video is on LATAM’s 787-9 on a 12 hour, 25 minute flight from São Paulo (GRU) to Los Angeles (LAX). I had a bit of a “kerfuffle” to start the journey (seat swap), but the onboard product was solid in terms of the seat, bedding and service, though the meal service was a disappointment and I find it inexcusable that there is no Wi-Fi on a 12-hour intercontinental flight.
Here is the 6o-second video:
I usually post these on Saturday and did post them on social media on Saturday (follow me on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok), but when a story is going viral, I tend to limit posting (i.e., leave well enough alone), hence the delay this week.
As always, I welcome your suggestions as to how I can make future videos better, both in terms of content and in terms of professional production. As you can see, this was my first video that was actually video rather than a slide show of photos. There will be many more “slide show” style videos in future weeks as I clear the backlog, but going forward I am now taking short videos on my trips precisely for these video reviews.
Thank you for watching!
