The 10 Most Popular Live And Let’s Fly Posts Of 2020

Most Popular Posts 2019

What is “popular” is a funny thing. As we close out the year of 2020, I’m looking at back at the 10 most popular posts of 2020 in terms of traffic on Live and Let’s Fly.

The trend is clear and continues from previous years: people like reading bad news. I guess it is not a surprise in our clickbait, Daily Mail culture, but the results are clear even beyond the top-10 list below. However, at least there are a few neutral stories that made the cut.

Although my incredibly time-consuming trip reports never make the top-10 list, I have to remind myself that I actually write to myself first and foremost and that it must always be that way. That, I hope, is what sets this blog apart from the pack.

But without further ado, here are the ten most popular posts from 2020:

10. Pan Am Returning To The Skies…Using 747s?

9. 15 U.S. Airlines Plan To Suspend Service To 62 Airports (Full List)

8. Trump Supporter Thrown Off Southwest Flight Speaks Up

7. Flight Attendants Face Condemnation After Calling Police On First Class Do-Gooder

6. American Airlines Pushes Credit Cards Then Closes Accounts

5. The Airbus A380 With 966 Seats Onboard…

4. It’s Time To Blacklist Pakistan International Airlines…

3. Trouble in Dubai: As Emirates Goes, So Goes The Nation

2. Man Grills Steak In Delta Air Lines Lavatory…Plus A Personal Confession

1. Observations From Flying to Florida Last Week

My humble thanks to Kyle Stewart and 121pilot for their contributions and insight over the last year. Both are a pleasure to work with and stay tuned for a special announcement regarding our resident pilot on Live and Let’s Fly.

Coronavirus dominated the news this year and yet I think the top-10 list demonstrates that many are looking to Live and Let’s Fly for a diversion from the news. We try hard not to be a clickbait blog (though sometimes it is too hard to resist), but look forward to bringing you more content worth reading in 2020.

I’m mildly disappointed you didnt put your face on every single person in that photo.

If your Photoshop skills are good, you are welcome to give it a try!

What is the story with that photo, anyway?

It used to have a bigger presence on the site, but has had a smaller footprint as it has evolved.

I’m not much of a pop culture guy, is it from a movie w/photoshop?

Just something I made over a decade ago.

Nice top ten – I am glad some of these are actually entertaining and not a list of manufactured outrage like the other blog
