Hilarious: Miami Man Blames ALTITUDE, Not Mushrooms, For Violence On United Airlines

The man at the center of a recent violent outburst on United Airlines has blamed his behavior on…the high altitude of the flight, not psychedelic mushrooms.

Miami Man Blames Altitude For Poor Behavior On United Airlines Flight, Not His Regular Consumption Of Mushrooms

Earlier today, Live and Let’s Fly wrote about Cherruy Loghan Sevilla, the 23-year-old Florida man who stands accused of assaulting two flight attendants on a United Airlines flight from Miami (MIA) to Washington (IAD) on October 4, 2022.

(you can read all the details of the flight here)

He will appear in court on Thursday to answer for his assault and poor behavior on the United Airlines flight but had a chat with the UK DailyMail ahead of his hearing. Referring to the FBI affidavit which summarized what occurred onboard, Sevilla said:

“90% of what was said was true. Maybe the altitude played a role.

“I remember pulling the piece of plastic off the door but don’t remember using any degree of force.

“They claim I grabbed the flight attendant’s breast but that’s not me at all.”

Sevilla admitted to taking mushrooms regularly for “meditative” and “recreational” purposes, adding:

“I definitely felt it creep up, usually it takes longer to take effect.”

I’m not sure he does himself any favors by talking to the press (especially the Mail) or by trying to make excuses for his poor behavior.

Can elevation impact the effects of psychedelic mushrooms? Beyond reddit threads discussing this matter, it does not appear this is the case. More likely factors which promote bad “trips” include consuming on an empty stomach or in combination with alcohol.

Meanwhile, United Airlines has only issued a short statement praising the actions of its crew onboard for handling the incident:

“We also followed up with our crew members to make sure they were ok. We’d like to thank our crew for handling this difficult situation with professionalism.”

Live and Let’s Fly will provide an update after Sevilla’s hearing.

CONCLUSION

I’m not a scientist or an expert in recreational drugs, but I tend to think it was not the attitude in a pressurized aircraft cabin, but simply the mushrooms alone. Sevilla will face a judge later this week and account for his action.

If he grabbed any flight attendant by the pussy i would vote for him for president.

I am a devout evangelical christan and he exhibits all behaviors that I and my faith hold dear. And of course he is from Florida like our previous pussy grabbing messiah.

I was told by someone who works at United that new routes are dropping tomorrow, has anyone else heard about this? Not sure if it is the big 2023 international routes announcement or if it is something else?

Is this the big annual international announcement? They usually hype it up with some videos or teasers so I am surprised we didn’t see any of that on social media.

I have some very good friends in Network planning, some of the new routes planned tomorrow are adding ORD-BCN, DEN-FCO, a flight to Malaga, a new route to Pisa, expansion into LHR frequency, among others including their new DXB route already announced, etc.
