Quality coffee, beans roasted in-house, and a beautiful cafe with ample seating, Narrative Coffee Naples, Florida might be the best in Southwest Florida.

Location
There are a pair of Narrative Coffee Roasters in Naples, Florida. The one we visited was in downtown Naples just north of 5th Ave. The other location in North Naples is in the Mercato. Many thanks to a reader for clarifying the location specifics of Naples.

Coffee Shop
I have a passion for quality coffee, but equally important is the coffee shop itself, as I often prefer to work from unique locations. On the day my family and I visited, we found it quiet with a training barrista, a trainee, and an experienced coffee maker behind the bar.
The environment is modern and bright with areas for small parties to enjoy a quality cup of coffee, a lounging area near the roastery (more on that below) for a more casual environment. Some communal tables area available with plenty of power outlets and speedy wifi.
The design of Narrative Coffee Naples is minimalistic with nice dark lines. The brand finds interesting ways to incorporate its logo and design elements as well as the use of brick, coffee, and bar menu.
We tried three drinks during our visit, enjoying each. It’s clear that Narrative prides itself of creating specialty coffee drinks like draft (nitrogen-infused) as well as their own line of Kunjani craft coffee cold and bottled beverages. Its range of merchandise included design books and some Dad hats with their logo.
Roaster
A source of pride for both Narrative and its barristas was the in-house roastery. I can’t speak for the Central Avenue location but this site isn’t just taking Lavazza coffee and adding some dark notes, they are getting the beans from farmers and roasting them in full view. Narrative believes this makes “bad ass coffee” and at least in our experience, we would agree.
What We Liked
My wife ordered a café con leche ($4) while I chose a cold draft ($5.50). Our eight-year-old daughter, Lucy, opted for an off-menu hot chocolate (kid temp) that was about $4. We loved the coffee and look forward to our next visit when we find ourselves in Naples again.
What do you think? Have you been to Narrative Coffee Naples? How was your experience?
Congratulations to this location for selling a COFFEE for $3. Not sure what the rest of that stuff is these places sell anymore but it’s crazy some places are getting $5 or more for a simple coffee. And crazier that people pay it, Starbucks proved PT Barnum correct and made billions from it for their owners and shareholders, which is never a bad thing. I see the drive thru lines backed onto roads and think it isn’t only the cartels that developed a product that hooked people. Along with proof the economy isn’t as bad as some try to say it is.
And don’t me started on the work “Barista”.
The Central Avenue location is not in South Naples — it’s downtown. And 5th Avenue is south of this location, not north. Also, there is no Narrative branch on 5th Avenue. The second location is in the Mercato in North Naples, many miles north of downtown/5th Avenue.
Updated with your notes, I was clearly confused.
Clearly never been there. Sponsored content
Lol. I appreciate that you have the confidence in my (and my daughter’s photography abilities) however, this is not a sponsored post. If content is sponsored, we will disclose such in accordance with FTC guidelines. The market for local coffee shops looking for coverage on an international travel blog is pretty limited, but I’d be happy to accept any leads you might have…
Thanks for the article Kyle. Ignore the “Naples correction Nazi’s”….clearly nothing better to do than give someone a hard time who is doing nothing but trying to improve their/our knowledge of the area. I for one, am grateful to have stumbled upon your article and will definitely check out their coffee shops….using my gps to find them like most people do. Thank you 🙂
Fantastic find. Who cares it is expensive? Kyle was on vacation and while relaxing a $3 coffee won’t break the bank. I also love places that are passionate about great coffee
Thanks for the tip! This is a newly developed area in Naples and I had no idea this place even existed. Can’t wait to try it! This is why I love boarding area—its not all travel all the time.
@Kyle: There are some fantastic coffee shops like the one you visited across the US. I never go to a Starbucks since when traveling I also look for local places. I used to travel for work to NW Arkansas. Who would expect great coffee there? But I found this amazing place in case you ever go there. https://onyxcoffeelab.com/pages/locations
Americans wil gladly pay $5 for coffee that shouldn’t be more than $1. But it’s expensive because it includes the costs for health insurance for baristas.
Americans wil however throw a fit if they are asked to pay for communal health insurance directly. They rather do things indirectly and when it’s hidden from them than do it directly.
Ah, my favorite destination Naples. I will be there in April again and will for sure try Narrative Coffee, thx fir the tip.
Don’t waste your time, Kunjani is by far the best coffee in Naples. Friendly staff, the bakery is delicious and abundant vegan options. Right next to Seagate and Clam pass beaches, the perfect stop before a beach day.
Thanks for the tip! I never knew this place existed and I’ve lived here for 16 years now. I’ll have to try it next time I’m up that way.
