The perverted, morbidly-obese man who moaned as flight attendants onboard an EVA flight from Los Angeles to Taipei wiped his butt has been found dead in a Thai resort “famed” for prostitution.
If you want to relive the traumatic events, I refer to you my earlier post on the matter, which offers graphic details of what allegedly occurred onboard.

The man, who remains nameless, was on an extended trip to Thailand when he was found dead in late March. An “undisclosed illness” is blamed for his death. Per the UK-Tabloid The Sun, he was staying at a resort that is frequented by hookers in Ko Samui, a Thai island known for prostitution. That could well be most resorts on the island…the actual hotel was not named.
EVA discovered the man had died as they attempted to reach him about his return flight from Taipei to San Francisco. In reaching out to his attorney, EVA was made aware that he died. Shockingly (and graciously), EVA refunded the return portion of his ticket to the man’s family (apparently he did have a family). Thus, his ban from flying on EVA became moot.
CONCLUSION
I do not rejoice in this man’s death. Everyone…even this degenerate pervert…is a human being. I wish no harm on anyone. But this man, more than most, demonstrated the potential for human beings to act deviously and debauched. How pathetic that his legacy will be for traumatizing flight attendants by demanding that they wipe his butt. It’s a horrible, pathetic, disgusting legacy.
Koh Samui is a party island known for prostituiton? You should get out more, really.
I’m quoting the SUN…
In the future, try not to … 🙂
Koh Samui is one of the most family-friendly destinations in Thailand. It is about as opposite the scene in Pattaya as you can imagine. It’s pretty much like calling Disneyland a hub of prostitution. Koh Samui is more G-rated than any average Western city. It’s crazy that The Sun can generalize about Koh Samui as if all of Thailand is like Pattaya or “The Hangover.”
Yeah that statement is inappropriate, even if lifted from another source. Samui is very tame. You will see very little of the craziness for which other parts of Thailand are infamous.
This is why, as a male, I do not want to go to Thailand. I am scared people will accuse me of using prostitution, being a pedophile, even cannibalism.
Wikipedia is a very wicked website because certain volunteers hack you computer (known complaints) or at least spy on your IP. They do that especially when they don’t like your edits even though anyone can edit (change) Wikipedia. Keeping that in mind, Wikipedia says “A gradual shift in demand is seeing more Asian visitors and families,” All of them are unlikely to be seeking prostitutes.
I object that the title of this article uses the word “pervert”. This website is, otherwise, the best among the Boarding Area blogs. Instead, I would have like to see Matthew use journalistically neutral wording such as “Banned EVA passenger….” When reading further in the article, the reader can make their own conclusion about whether there was perversion of not.
It is possible that the man was so obese and, if coupled with a shoulder injury (which I have had before) makes it hard to wipe. The flight attendant reasonably may be repulsed by the demand and barely wipe. Nobody like an anus that is full of stool, not having been wiped.
I do realize that it is possible that the man is a prostitute seeking pedophile but do not want to read about any baseless accusations.
Thank you for the article. Most of it is ok except for the uncomfortable feeling I get when I read “Pervert” instead of “Accused” or “banned passenger” in the title.
Derek, surely you have something better to do than to defend this… pervert?
“It is possible that the man was so obese and, if coupled with a shoulder injury (which I have had before) makes it hard to wipe. The flight attendant reasonably may be repulsed by the demand and barely wipe. Nobody like an anus that is full of stool, not having been wiped.”
This is a ridiculous paragraph and makes me wonder if you share more than a shoulder injury in common with this despicable human being.
Also, people who go anywhere to forcibly have sex with women/children are clearly terrible people. Why defend them??
I see no evidence that this EVA passenger went to Thailand “to forcibly have sex with women/children”. In fact, Wikipedia says an increasing number of families are vacationing at that Thai island. I doubt they are saying the families are a family of pedophiles and prostitute seekers.
The banned EVA passenger is probably a bad person but, short of an investigation, we cannot rule out just a fat man who has trouble wiping his butt and doesn’t like it when his butt is only superficially wiped, maybe not even fully wiped due to obese butt cheeks getting in the way. If that is the case, he is being wrongly accused.
you’re bad at trolling
