EVA is making one thing clear: it is taking flight attendant concerns very seriously over the perverted passenger who has made headlines around the world.
If you missed my story yesterday, you can read all the grisly details about the worst passenger in the world. Earlier this week, the EVA flight attendants involved in the incident hosted a press conference in Taipei, with their union, demanding EVA leadership promptly address this issue.
There have been hints that EVA punished FAs for refusing to help the passenger when he demanded lavatory assistance last year. EVA emphatically denies that charge.
In a press release (which I am translating from Chinese), EVA defended itself, stating:
- The passenger in question had 20 prior flights with EVA with no “abnormalities”
- Last year was the first time the passenger requested assistance in the lavatory
- Due to health factors, the flight attendants were “required” to assist
- But FAs are not required to wipe passengers
- EVA did NOT punish flight attendants for refusing to assist
- “The company has never blamed the flight attendants in the past, and will not do so in the future”
- EVA will take steps to ensure FAs are not abused
- This will include a communication system in which troublesome passengers can be reported and met by ground staff or potentially law enforcement personnel one the aircraft lands
- Troublesome passengers may also be banned
I wish I could read Chinese to understand the nuances of the press release, but it appears EVA is walking a very fine line. It wants FAs to help disabled passengers, even to the toilet. But it also does not want to subject FAs to dehumanizing treatment, as seems to be the case with the pervert passenger flying to Bangkok.
Speaking of dehumanizing treatment, the FA forced to wipe the passenger shared the following at her press conference:
I’ll never forget that moment: With his feces still in the toilet, I had nowhere to escape.
Now every time I’m forced to relive what happened in my mind, I feel traumatized.
The EVA FA union wants EVA to hire male flights attendants to assist these sorts of passengers. EVA did not address the issue in its press release.
CONCLUSION
I’m still waiting for the passenger to surface. If my hunch is right, he’ll relish the limelight and we’ll see an exclusive Daily Mail interview or something of that nature in the days ahead. In the meantime, I am sincerely happy that EVA is taking the issue seriously and also taking steps to ensure it never happens again.

Wow, so this airline only has female flight attendants? They are just asking for situations like this. If there were male flight attendants this guy would not have acted the way that he did.
Hopefully the airline and the passenger will have to pay this flight attendant.
So wiping will be a male job? This male/female distinction is from the last century. Now, we know there are LGBTQ. A man seeing male genitalia may be aroused if gay. A woman seeing male genitalia may think nothing of it if lesbian. Male only or female only restrooms is making an assumption that there is no LGBTQ.
Maybe they should have made an announcement asking if there is a caregiver among the passengers to assist. Then award the passenger some miles.
Nurses aides and nursing home workers see this all the time. Poop. Wiping. Smell. They have no extensive training (they have some training). Many are immigrants, such as from the Philippines or Mexico. Essentially, they should have patience and be willing to endure odor.
I visited an elderly relative in the hospice before. He was full of poop. I cleaned it up. Just wore a mask to cut down odor a bit, wore gloves, and wiped the stool, which was a pudding like consistency. I just did it.
If I wasn’t paid to do that job, I might protest or not like it. But it shouldn’t cause trauma. What should cause traumatic memories is a plane crash, cabin is upside down with you strapped in and fire all over the place, smell of fuel, hearing screaming and crying, ocean water all over the place.
I have no doubt the passenger was demanding but I am not so sure he is a pervert. Just rude and no manners and a problem with going to the toilet.

Derek, after reading your comments today and yesterday I’m wondering if you are Mr Shitty himself. To compare a FA to a nursing home worker or cleaning up a relative shows a level of cluelessness. If this dude is so disabled he is not able to wipe his own arse, he needs to be staying home and not playing these stupid games. Time for EVA to put on their big boy pants and ban Mr Shitty and I would suggest they spread his name far and wide so other airlines can follow suit. It all comes down to appropriate behaviour, and this dude seems to be the king on inappropriateness.
I am not Mr. Shitty. I believe Mr. Shitty is probably a bad person. However, saying he is guilty of sexual assault is over the top. He might actually have trouble wiping. That is because his butt is so big that the anus is buried in the fat. That is probably why the FA got poop on her sleeve. She shouldn’t be traumatized. Simply change clothes and inform the airline of the problem.
In turn, I do not think there’s good evidence that the man should be banned. He should simply be required to have an aide travel with him due to a demonstrated need for an aide on the reported flight.

Is this why health care costs are so high? If you cannot wipe, you don’t necessarily need to be hospitalized. At home, he might have a bidet so wiping is not needed, just a prolonged blasting of water to dislodge poop stains on the skin and anus.

Many Asian airlines ( in fact most, if not all) prefer to hire young attractive women as FAs. Only Thai ( plus Malaysia to some extent) allows them to stay in the job for life. It’s relevant here only to the extent it gives lowlifes like this guy the opportunity to harass and play sick power games.
While hiring more males might reduce the incidence of this ( rare) behaviour, it’s unlikely to eradicate it completely as psychos like this are driven by things other than sex , making the gender of the victim less significant.
Top management is only worried about the company’s bottom line. The worker bees may wipe customers a$$es but provided the $$$ keep coming, they couldn’t care less. The airline FAs need a union to put the company in check.

If he actually has a problem wiping he should first indicate he has medical conditions BEFORE boarding when purchasing the ticket. Secondly, your situation is causing safety hazards for OTHER 99% of the passengers and you are unfit for flying. He should’ve either charter a private flight or just stay fucking home. It’s not like he’s adding any value to the humanity with his Taiwan trip. What a disgrace to Americans. How everyone thinks white supremacy is real cuz this pig.
