I arrived at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) at 6:45 pm with a flight departing at 7:40 am the next morning. Rather than go into Taipei, I spent the night at the Plaza Premium Lounge (and hotel…) in Zone A of Terminal 2. While not luxurious, it served its purpose well and I got a good rest.

You’ll find the lounge on the 4th floor of the international departures area of Terminal 2, in Zone A.
I checked into the lounge and presented my voucher for the overnight stay.
The lounge is open from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm, but overnight guests are allowed to stay. This is a Priority Pass Lounge as well, but Priority Pass guests only are allowed access to the lounge portion up to three hours prior to their flight.
Seating
The lounge is divided into a seating and dining area, with chairs and end tables (all with USB-A and universal A/C plugs) in the seating area and a dining area with tables and booths.
There are also several roped-off “VIP” areas, which are essentially small rooms with room for 4-6 guests and offering more privacy than the general lounge area.
Food + Drink
Dinner was still out upon my arrival and included a mix of Western and East Asian food, including a noodle bar, soy burgers, soups, salads, and even French Fries and chicken nuggets. I did not eat anything.
Drinks included water, tea, coffee, and juice. If there was alcohol available, I did not see it.
The following morning, the breakfast spread included a refreshed salad bar, chicken sausage, ham, and whole fruit. I left the lounge at 5:30 am and nothing else had been brought out.
Hotel – Sleeping Area
The lounge has about two dozen sleeping rooms that can be rented on an hourly basis (rate varies…check here). It is advisable to make reservations in advance.
I was assigned room 15, which included a single-sized bed, end table, and a low-to-the-ground stool to sit on. There was no individual climate control in the room, but thankfully the room stayed cool.
Amenities like shaving kits, ear buds, shower caps, and dental kits were provided along with a single bottle of water (though beverages were available outside in the lounge 24/7).

CONCLUSION
There was nothing particularly noteworthy about the lounge, the food and drinks, the showers, or the sleeping room…but it was highly practical for my overnight in Tapei and I was thankful to have a comfortable bed to sleep in.
@Matthew … Re : the maintenance accident at Delta-Atlanta with the tire blowing , has been known to be a dangerous procedure forever . Any high pressure tire workers must be protected by a cage-shield and also shrapnel vests with helmets . The Army told us about such dangers many moons ago . Even a Jeep tire blowing at one’s head can maim . There are established precautions , but they may not work .

When I was there the alcohol was on a cart kinda tucked a little on the inside and there was beer available.
I totally missed it.
When did you fly this route? I just left Taipei a few days ago and I can assure you masks are not required in the terminal.

Doesn’t really matter now, but that was from 2022. Masks not required anymore, but as you probably saw many people still wear them.

Was perfectly quiet. Despite the jetlag, I slept well.
