Review: Prague Airport Business Lounge (PRG)

The Prague Airport Business Lounge–operated by Menzies–in Terminal 2 of Václav Havel Airport Prague is a comfortable lounge with a respectable selection of food, including many Czech dishes.

Prague Airport Business Lounge Review (PRG)

This is the lounge that Air France and KLM uses for their business class passengers. It is not a Priority Pass lounge and is located in Terminal 2 (Schengen area). Hours were not posted…I’d simply speculate that if you have access to this lounge, it will probably be open before your flight. You will find the lounge upstairs near the C Gates (adjacent to the Erste Premier Lounge).

Be careful…I walked right by it the first time. The two small double doors look like they lead to an office rather than a lounge.

Even though the lounge sign on the door suggests it is operated by Prague Airport, the placard to the left of the door says Menzies, a British ground handling company.

Inside, an agent scanned my boarding pass and welcomed me inside.

To the right was a seating area and a pair of semi-enclosed work stations.

To the left was the main part of the lounge with food and drinks, followed by a larger seating area, restrooms, and showers.

The seating area included Ikea-style chairs, mostly clustered in pairs with small round tables. While I had no trouble finding a power port, many seats did not have them within reach.

Restrooms were clean and each bathroom had a shower (though it was locked…request a key a reception).

I had not eaten since breakfast at the Andaz and was hungry. It was a pleasant surprise to see such a nice selection of food, including Czech Beef Goulash (Hovězí guláš) and several delectable spreads like beetroot. There was also meatballs with tomato sauce, couscous, fried chicken tenders, boiled potatoes, salads, sliced meats and cheeses, and even breakfast cereals.

Beverages included Czech beer, water, a Coke Freestyle machine, coffee, and ea.

I thought the goulash was quite respectable (and I certainly got enough protein…) and I also enjoyed dipping sliced cucumbers into the beetroot spread. A very nice dinner and better than what was served on my KLM flight to Amsterdam.

I quite liked this lounge…it exceeded my expectations in that it never got very crowded and the beef goulash alone was worth a stop.

This is a better lounge than the next-door Erste Premier Lounge.

This lounge is actually not open for early morning departures. For the 6:20 departure to Zurich they sent me across the way.
