Qatar Airways is like the gift that keeps on giving. Business Class companion fares out of Scandinavia to Australia remain incredibly low.
Let me make clear from the outset, this is for companion fares…meaning for two tickets purchased together, not one. Even so, Australia is a great place to take a friend or family member to.
This fare is available from various Scandinavian cities to various cities in Australia. Fares appear good from mid-April thru November 15, 2018 (all travel must be completed by that point). The fare has a minimum stay of three days and a maximum stay of six months. Flights book into (R) class.
Two keys in securing a low fare:
1. Return to a different city than you started in. For example, start in Oslo and end in Stockholm.
2. Enter the promo code PCSPECIAL at check-out to maximize savings.
Let’s take on example, Oslo to Canberra to Stockholm. Use Google Flights to select your itinerary and it will take you directly to the booking page on Qatar’s website.
Apply the PCSPECIAL promo and the prices drops to 13653NOK (~1658USD) each.
I pinpoint Canberra because Qatar is offering an extra 30,000 bonus miles on this route.
I would not necessarily recommend crediting to Qatar’s own program…I’d credit to British Airways or American Airlines if I were flying…but for those Qatar Privileges Club members, this is another great inventive to book.

This is NOT a Mistake Fare
How can Qatar sell business class this cheap? Isn’t this a fare mistake? No way. God Save the Points first blogged about this deal in early December. YHBU blogged about it again today. A discussion on Flyertalk has been ongoing all months. Qatar has renewed the fare two times (currently until January 05, 2018).
There is no way this is a mistake fare.
CONCLUSION
Certainly this deal is geared more toward European readers than U.S. ones, but if you’re North America-based and in Europe this summer, it might be a fun diversion if you enjoy flying business class and want to check out Australia.
For readers in Europe, this represents an incredible deal to fly one of the best business class products in the world. I just returned from two longhaul flights in Qatar Airways Business Class and look forward to my next Qatar Airways trip in January.
