One of the more elusive airlines to obtain premium cabin award space on is SAS, the flag carrier of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The carrier has an impressive new business class product, but releases very little transatlantic award space. Until now. Whether a change in policy or a temporary reprieve, SAS has released two business class award seats on many of its longhaul flights in 2016.
SAS Expanding International Route Map

SAS Business Class Award Space
If you are thinking about travel next year (including during the peak spring and summer travel periods) and just need two seats, check out these SAS routes and with a little flexibility chances are you will find premium award seats right now. I have made several bookings over the last few days for clients and even a couple for myself.
Use united.com to check for space, noting that what you see on United will be bookable with any Star Alliance program. If you book with Aeroplan, there are no fuel surcharges for SAS flights.
