Delta Air Lines Passenger Cooks Shrimp In Lavatory Sink…

A man showcases how he cooked garlic shrimp in a Delta Air Lines lavatory…whether real or not, this is not something we should emulate, as humorous as it may be.

Man Cooks Shrimp In Delta Air Lines Lavatory

A passenger on Delta decided to turn the rear lavatory into a galley, bringing along the ingredients to create a garlic shrimp dish (Delta does not sell hot meals onboard in economy class).

He jokes that the material “looks like a bomb” as he makes his way through a TSA checkpoint (a bad idea) and then inside a lavatory unpacks a:

  • portable cigarette lighter
  • large battery to power it
  • bag of shrimp
  • bag of dried garlic mashed potato

He lays out everything on the lavatory counter and the drop down diaper changing table and goes to work, plugging the sink then filling it with water. Next, he heats the water with his portable cigarette lighter (he just drops it in the water).

After the shrimp is cooked, he mixes up the mashed potatoes, then throws everything together in and shakes it.

The video concludes with him back at his seat enjoying his culinary creation (poor seatmate…).

A warning: turn down the sound off if you have sensitive ears, because a disgusting rap song is played filled with foul language.

You might recall the man who “cooked” a steak in a Delta lavatory that I wrote about a few years ago. Turns out that was fake and it would not surprise me in the world of TikTok if this was fake too. I mean, dropping a cigarette lighter in water goes against everything we are taught and the shrimp doesn’t look all that cooked to me (not that it would be browned in a lavatory sink lit by a portable cigarette lighter…).

This is not something I would recommend your try to re-create…

CONCLUSION

A man boasts about cooking shrimp in the sink of a Delta lavatory, then disgustingly consumes it in his seat. I tend to think the video is about as fake as a three dollar bill, but this is the same guy who cooked ribs in the sink of his hotel bathroom, so who knows…

The basin in unsanitary unless cleaned, which it is not.

He’s not dropping a cigarette lighter in the basin. He’s using a 12V immersion heater that he has mated to two 6V batteries.

In theory, there may be enough energy to boil a cup or cup and a half of water with those batteries, but I’d be interested know if it works in real life.

My guess is at best you can make 1 cup of water pretty warm with that setup.

It’s a shame that someone clever enough to think about how to boil water with two lantern batteries is spending his time doing things as disgusting as this.

THIS is exactly why people piss in sinks instead of the toilet on planes.

Peeing in the sink cannot add extra flavor. The bacteria and viruses do that.
