Over the weekend, United Airlines posted a picture on Instagram, leaving me and many others wondering (hoping, I suppose) that a partnership with In-N-Out could really transform the airline burger wars.
A United Airlines Partnership With In-N-Out Burger Would Be Delicious….
United re-posted an image of an Airbus A320 flying over the iconic In-N-Out LAX on Sepulveda Boulevard, just a short walk from the airport. There’s a park across the street from the airport and I’ve spent many hours there watching planes fly overhead.

Is that just a nice picture of a classic car and a United jet…or could it be a subtle hint of a new partnership?
Recall that I speculated whether United would launch a partnership with McDonald’s earlier this year after some collaboration and even a special flight to “McDonaldland.” For better or for worse, that never happened.

While I think a McDonald’s relationship still makes the most sense (first, because there is a historic link between United and McDonald’s and second, because McDonald’s is another Chicago-based publicly traded company), I think all of us who love In-N-Out would love to see its burgers onboard United Airlines and this post has fueled no shortage of chatter.
And Delta’s partnership with ShakeShake at least puts such a partnership within the realm of possibility (and those burgers onboard are delicious…).

I know this is probably just wishful thinking, but hey United catering…folks would love to have In-N-Out onboard and it would certainly save me a trip after my flights to LAX! 😉
Would you eat an In-N-Out burger if available on United Airlines?
