In November 2020, United will operate 49% of its domestic schedule from November 2019.

Highlights include:

  • Starting new service between Washington Dulles and Key West, Florida
  • Resuming service between San Francisco and Tampa, Florida

Additionally, United will start offering non-stop non-hub service to Florida from Boston and New York La Guardia. Other cities will follow.

CONCLUSION

United’s international route network is slowly resuming, though moving in the right direction. The resumption of service to three continents will be bolstered once travel restrictions are loosened. Meanwhile, United will continue its domestic approach of targeting leisure destinations while business travel remains depressed.

United has for all intents, abandoned Seattle. They will most likely never offer international service from Seattle ever again! Sorry to say.

@Matthew how likely are these routes to go as planned if booked? For example if I were to book one of those IAH-FRA flights for November are they subject (or likely) to scale back and the flight be canceled if they see very light loads? I wasn’t sure if airlines set these routes in stone months or weeks in advance.

Frankfurt has been a particularly lucrative cargo market. I expect the flights to operate not based upon passenger loads, but because the belly is full of cargo.

ah ok. Good to know. I’m currently on an award ticket for LH in business Denver to Munich in mid December. It’s currently not operating but it’s set to resume October 26. Would you know if Lufthansa does cancel will I be offered another routing or simply miles redeposited and up to me to find something? I booked through LifeMiles. Much appreciated

LifeMiles complicates things. You can see if they will rebook you, but you’ll probably hit a brick wall.

Matthew UA is showing three IAD-LHR flights in Nov? Is this because of slot requirements at LHR or have they just not bothered to update the schedule?

Has not been updated yet. Will be overnight or later this weekend. Expect only one flight.

Ua is showing ewr to cur, 11.7 but American and jetblue have canceled their flights and yet to put them back, because Curaçao has not allowed us flights yet. Have they reach some agreement with flights from ua/NYC?

Flights from Newark to Berlin seems to be postponed until October 30th, 2021. Same from Houston to Managua.
