With flights to Tel Aviv set to resume tomorrow, United Airlines just extended its route suspension for another month.
Tel Aviv Service Now Suspended Until June 5, 2024 United Airlines
With a ceasefire deal still elusive and a fresh Israel offensive in southern Gaza now launched, United Airlines will not resume service to Israel tomorrow from its Newark (EWR) hub. United resumed service to Tel Aviv (TLV) in March 2024, but has suspended it since April 13, 2024 after Iran launched a missile and drone attack against Israel.
Explaining the extension of the route suspension, United said:
We are closely monitoring the situation and will make decisions on upcoming flights with a focus on the safety of our customers and crews.
Passengers with ticketed reservations are encouraged to reach out to United for re-accommodation on a Lufthansa group carrier via Europe. Service to Tel Aviv on Autrian via Vienna (VIA), Brussels Airlines via Brussels (BRU), Lufthansa via Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC), and on SWISS via Zurich (ZRH) continues.
Star Alliance partner Air Canada flights to Tel Aviv remain suspended and from the US, only EL AL currently serves Israel nonstop. American Airlines has suspended flights to Tel Aviv until October 26, 2024 while Delta Air Lines plans to resume service in June 2024.

The strange thing is that they already returned, and cancelled after the Iranian attack that did no actual damage.
A short suspension until we see what retaliation there is made sense. But the situation more is no different than in March, when United did fly to TLV.
Seems more like sentiment than risk assessment.
Too lazy to put the date in June that Delta is returning ?
Remember when Ben from OMAAT was trying to clown on Delta for not resuming service sooner? Look at who’s getting the last laugh.
Ben is all in on the grift by goading responses from Tim Dunn and his “fans.” The other day he had 3 separate Delta schedule posts and it had the most engagements.
Tim doesn’t have any fans, but he does have a lot of triggered sheeple that will argue with him in the comments.
I was using the word “fans” very sarcastically, sorry lol, and I agree with you also
Whatever risks there were in March, the situation is no different now. So either United was wrong then, or they are wrong now.
No airlines should fly to occupied Palestine. EVER
Starve Israel.
“Palestine” does not exist. But if it did, you might be right Andy. It would presumably be controlled by the same people who lead the “Palestinians” now: terrorists, suicide bombers and similar jihadi nut-cases, out to get their 70 virgins. Flying into such a location would be risky indeed.
