Zonked Man Assaults Multiple Flight Attendants On United Airlines

A Florida man was arrested by the FBI for assaulting a pair of flight attendants after a mushroom trip gone bad on a United Airlines flight.

Crazed Man High On Mushrooms Attacks Pair Of Flight Attendants On United Airlines

23-year-old Cherruy Loghan Sevilla had quite the United flight on October 4, 2022 from Miami (MIA) to Washington (IAD). Let’s review what happened onboard:

  • Sevilla was seated in 29C, next to a man traveling with his daughter
  • An hour into the flight, Sevilla grabbed the daughter’s arm
  • The man and his daughter were moved to other seats
  • Sevilla next began “running up and down the aisle, clapping loudly near the cockpit, and yelling obscenities,” according to FBI Special Agent Daniel Markley wrote in the affidavit
  • Next, Sevilla opened a locked lavatory door (with a passenger using the facilities inside) and managed to break a “small plastic piece” off the door
    • It appears he knew how to slide down the metal placard above the locking mechanism outside the lavatory door. Behind it, there is a plastic tab that can be used to lock or unlock the door from the outside. This is how flight attendants lock lavatory doors before takeoff and landing.
  • Sevilla was also getting “into the faces” of other passengers and either smiling or staring at them
  • Flight attendants told him to return to his seat, but he refused and laid down on the floor instead
  • As flight attendants continued to ask him to get up and return to his seat, Sevilla bounded to his feet and attacked a female flight attendant by “grabbing and twisting” her breast, leaving her with bruising on her chest and lasting pain
  • Next, an off-duty law enforcement officer jumped up and with the help of a male flight attendant, attempted to restrain Sevilla
  • A handcuff was placed on Sevilla’s right wrist, but Sevilla wriggled away and twisted the arm of a second flight attendant
  • It took “several” people to ultimately restrain him
  • The plane did not divert, continuing on to Washington Dulles with Sevilla restrained
  • Upon landing, police and FBI met the aircraft
  • Sevilla was still “yelling profanities and unintelligible sounds”
  • He was arrested and taken off the airplane for questioning
  • In police custody, he admitted to taking Psilocybin, also known as magic mushrooms at Miami Airport
  • While apologizing for his actions, he also admitted, he was “not totally surprised that he acted this way after consuming it.”
  • These psychedelic mushrooms cause hallucinations in some cases

Psilocybin is not illegal in places the like the District of Columbia and Oregon but remains illegal under federal law, which includes onboard airplanes. This is quite a harrowing story and again makes me question why anyone takes drugs. I’m so square the very thought of ever consuming a psychedelic mushroom is absolutely revolving.

CONCLUSION

Legal arguments aside, I’m not a fan of recreational drugs for many reasons, including precisely what happened to Sevilla. He probably thought he was just going to relax and mellow out during the flight, but instead, he now faces up to 20 years in prison. That’s hardly a worthwhile trip…

“I’m so square the very thought of ever consuming a psychedelic mushroom is absolutely revolving.”

    Some jokes just write themselves…

There is a very limited and appropriate time for consuming psychedelic mushrooms…and right before boarding a flight isn’t one of them.

Yeah, why would someone take mushrooms before being confined to a metal tube for a few hours? I doubt he thought he’d “mellow out” – shoot even he said he wasn’t surprised.

I often took mushrooms and other drugs during my gay porn days to dull the pain. But now, nothing gets me higher than never losing gambling. And you can win like me too and live my lifestyle for just $499 a month. Check out the true GOAT…me Christopher Mitchell.

And no excuses from this clown, lock him up.
