Barefoot Passenger Turns Delta Economy Cabin Into His Living Room

Matthew Klint Posted onAugust 25, 2025August 25, 2025 29 Comments

a person's legs on a plane

A poem to the man in seat 30C on a Delta 767 who felt the need to take off his shoes and socks, then place his feet on the bulkhead wall (and who was also wearing the style of short shorts that do not belong in a public place…

Delta coach, a crowded space,
Yet here, bare feet still find their place.
Shoes abandoned where they fall,
Scattered mess beneath it all

Toes exposed, a cabin crime,
A plague we’ve seen too many times.
Not socks, not slippers, not a care,
Just naked soles in stale cabin air.

Did no one teach this grown-up lad
That manners matter: this is bad?
Your mother’s couch? Perhaps, at best.
But not an aircraft filled with guests.

So once again I lift my pen,
To call out what we see, my friends:
Delta offers seats with style,
But some behave… quite feral and vile.

The scourge of bare feet on planes shows no sign of abating. Premium cabin or coach, shoes stay on, and feet stay down. Always. And to this lout: what a shame your mother never taught you any common courtesy. I hope a flight attendant reminded this dumb chap that this wasn’t his bedroom…

    Matthew,

I’ll agree in full concerning bare feet. But not “shoes must stay on.”

If you have socks (and they don’t smell!) taking off shoes is fine. Slippers, fine. Amenity kit socks? Fine. Comfort is good, and most shoes aren’t designed for air travel.

Agreed – I’m okay with clean socks or slippers, especially the ones issued by airlines.

Is the photo that of a Dem feminist from Berkeley ? Cut her some slack , because she has been outside demonstrating for the illegal criminals , and she needs to relax on the airplane .

It’s Delta….so most likely he’s one of the many entitled SnowFlakes from a red state that takes so much more financially and physically from this country then it contributes.

to be fair, it could have been worse and he had his shoes *on* and feet up there. So he’s only at the second lowest level.

To be clear, only the first one of these is actually okay in coach… but there’s still a relativism between the three bad options!

shoes on feet down >> shoes off feet down >> shoes off feet up >> shoes on feet up

in a private pod business class cabin, any of the first three are reasonable.

Feet belong either on the floor or on an ottoman (if part of a business class seat pod). End of.

Perhaps all the excess body hair caused him to overheat? Ick. Flight attendant should have used gloves to pick up the socks , shoes and pants? tossing them into the coffee grounds bag. Nasty.

The level of entitlement some people have is awful. It’s time Airlines begin treating all passengers like we are in Grade One. Clearly people are dumb and self centred. A Captain making is approach in the Cabin to remind passengers they are on a plane, not at home will deter this behaviour. Or ban them for month like a detention in school.

I don’t really care about taking your shoes and socks off, it’s putting them on the wall that’s criminal.
But what’s wrong with short shorts in summer? Sky’s out, thighs out boys.

This men wearing short shorts trend needs to end now. 7 inch inseam or greater – shorts should come to just above the knees.

It looks like his seatmate is doing the same thing, albeit covering their feet with a blanket.

We finally get to see a picture of Douchebag Dave Edwards or Sch*ttt Hsuan, the two biggest SHPOSs around. But maybe not, the legs in the photo are way too clean for Douchebag Dave Edwards or Sch*ttt Hsuan who have each stated that they only bathe once a month. And we can’t see the butt plugs/sticks up their butts they both have in place ALL DAY, EVERY SINGLE DAY.
