The new routes comes as Delta continues to seek out demand in new places.

CONCLUSION

While Delta faces competition on all three routes, the new routes strengthen Delta’s hub status at LAX and focus not only on local traffic, but connecting traffic.

@ Matthew — The LAX-PSP route makes zero sense for O&D traffic. Surely this is aimed at connecting passengers.

I live in Rancho Mirage and am thrilled with all these airlines flying from Palm Springs particularly to LAX where you can connect to all kinds of flights. Thrilled!

Reno has long been a center of industry and poorly served. Its great to see the airlines are seeing this and responding to a growing market.

I was looking for direct NYC-PSP flights this morning and was surprised to find the only direct option is on a poorly timed B6 flight. I suppose connecting in LAX would be the next best option though. Connecting through ATL just does not appeal to me.
