Delta Air Lines opens its Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on October 10, 2024. Here’s a first look a the new lounge, including photos and key information.

Let’s start with some photos…the lounge space is beautiful:
In terms of design and amenities, here is what you can expect:
Design
- Seating for “nearly 200 guests”
- Inspired by “the beauty of the Los Angeles landscape, both natural and manmade.” The color palette evokes the landscape of Southern California – sunset hues, complemented by leather and walnut accents, color the dining room, while the light airiness of the coast is reflected in the Verde Emerald quartzite and the glowing onyx back bar.
- The glistening feature ceiling over the Iconic Bar pays homage to majesty of the Pacific.
- Feature lighting throughout the lounge, like the dramatic wall lighting in the Dining Room, nods to the glamour of old Hollywood.
- Crafted details – such as fluted walnut paneling and oculus inspired ceilings—reflect LA’s renowned architectural history, from Modernism to Art Deco.
Food & Beverage:
- Service at every seat
- A la carte selection for breakfast and all-day dining (appetizers and main courses)
- Signature Bento boxes rotating every two weeks to highlight LAX Delta One destinations
- Sushi counter – 11:00 am – 10:00 pm (last order)
- Cocktails, wine, premium wine, and spirits
Those who prefer to sip their way around the world can sample LAX Delta One Lounge “Destination Libations,” with signature cocktails represented by airport codes. Try a Mai Tai-inspired cocktail representing Tahiti (PPT), or a gin-forward mix that nods to London (LHR).
Wellness:
- Nap pods with 5 massage and 3 zero-gravity chairs;
- Hyperice self-care devices (percussion gun, compression boots)
- Full-body Human Touch massage chairs in semi-private pods
- Rolling wellness cart featuring Grown Alchemist samples, oshibori towels, spa water
- Dedicated shower suites
- located in Delta Sky Club, not directly in Delta One Lounge
- Shoeshine and valet steaming available upon request
- SkyView lamps in wellness area
Local Partners:
- The LAX Delta One Lounge partners with several local LA businesses and restaurants, including:
- SQUIRL
- Milla Chocolates – Featured on the dessert table
- The Butcher’s Daughter – Partner for wellness drinks
- Verve (on a personal note, I’m thrilled to see Verve versus Starbucks)
I chose not to take part in an in-person media preview, but I do hope to visit as a passenger in the near future. This looks like a nice competitor to the United Airlines Polaris Lounge in Terminal 7 (or Qantas First Lounge in the Bradley Terminal) and a step above the American Airlines Flagship Lounge in Terminal 4.
This is a much smaller lounge than New York, but Delta’s international footprint is also much smaller at this lounge.

@ Matthew — This looks vastly superior to one of the most overrated lounges ever — the Qantas F lounge at LAX. I think the AA Flagship lounge at LAX is better than the QF F lounge at LAX.
Qantas Lougne has the best coffee at LAX, though. Food is okay, but I do prefer the a la carte dining to the Flagship buffet.
@ Matthew — My primary complaint with the QF lounge is the lack of a place to sit and work. They badly need to update the seating. Plus, I actually prefer the AA food. The main thing I consume in a lounge is water, so I guess the food doesn’t matter too much to me.

Agree re Qantas F. Terrible shower stalls, ugly old design and no views. Always listen with surprise when travelers rave about it.

Looks like a Victorian whorehouse and is the appropriate place for the trailer trash with money customer base that Delta has.
How do you know what the inside of a whorehouse looks like?

It’s a Victorian maison de filles-joie designed to impress the low-wattage trailer trash lottery winners who are the normal Delta None customer.
I’m sorry if I’m in the minority here, but it looks like the Wayfair clearance section threw up in there. I’ve been through the New York Delta one lounge and it’s absolutely stunning and feels luxurious and expensive. The majority of the interior design here of the inside spaces is just awful. It’s marginally saved by the outdoor terrace and the bar design.

I imagine you’ll get priority access to SkyClub showers. ANA has this concept. Their first class lounge and business class lounges share the same facilities in NRT, so while the queue might be long, the attendants will bump you to the top if you’re a Suite Lounge guest.
yup it will require the guest to exit the DLOne Lounge, pass through the buffet in the back of the LAX SkyClub and then too the showers. I guess something had to give due to space constraints and DL choose the shower facilities. Not sure how well that will be received, but priority queuing for the shower facilities might offset the disappointment.
