A Georgia doctor who claims that he flew to Maine to propose to his girlfriend on Delta Air Lines, was arrested for groping his female seatmate. He claims it happened because the cabin was dark and his hand slipped.

After Initially Denying He Grabbed Her On Delta Flight, Doctor Blames Groping On His Poor Eyesight And The Dark Cabin

Dr. Jake Namjik Cho was traveling on Delta 2138 from Atlanta (ATL) to Portland, Maine (PWM) on March 17, 2023. He was seated in seat 17B. During the flight, a young woman claimed that Cho “continuously leaned into her seat area while appearing to be asleep.” As Cho slept, or pretended to sleep, his body continued to drift toward the the young woman. Here’s a summary from the criminal complaint:

The male moved his hand onto the seat in the space between him and Victim 1, with his hand in contact with her thigh and buttocks. The male also moved his feet into Victim 1’s foot space and touched her feet with his feet. Victim 1 reported that around a point in the flight when the aircraft encountered turbulence, the male passenger appeared to have spasmed and reached over Victim 1’s leg and down into her crotch. The male passenger then touched the outside of the Victim 1’s genitals from the outside of her pants. Victim 1 reported that prior to this, she had shifted her body to the side furthest away from the male passenger prior to the male reaching over her, which would have required the male’s movement be deliberate.

When she cried out, Cho “woke up” and removed his hand. For the rest of the flight he did not touch her. When the plane touched down in Portland, Cho jumped up, grabbed his belongings, and quickly left the aircraft. The woman filed a police report.

When Cho returned to Atlanta two days later, he was questioned by the FBI as well as Portland Police and a Federal Air Marshal when he checked in for his return to Atlanta.

Cho denied touching the woman next to him at all with his hands, let alone inappropriately, and claimed he had traveled to Maine to propose to his girlfriend. He further denied that he had touched her with his feet. He volunteered to take a polygraph test.

During the lie-detector test, he first denied touching the passenger…then admitted that he deliberately touched her with both his hands and feet. His excuse for grabbing her crotch? His glasses were off, the cabin was dark, and his hand slipped. These are his exact words:

“When we got in the air, I began to relax and I stretched out my legs. At some point, I touched my left foot against her right foot and maintained the contact until I fell asleep. In addition to maintaining the foot contact, I used the contact to keep myself upright as I have shorter legs. I feel (sic) asleep shortly thereafter. When I woke up I was leaning on my left, facing her. At some point I saw her and reached out and grabbed her right upper thigh with my left hand.

“I intended to only squeeze her upper right thigh and never intended to touch her crotch. Because my glasses were off and it was dark, my hand slipped from her upper thigh to her crotch. As soon as I did this, she instantly exclaimed something loudly which caused me to remove my hand from her leg and sit straight up. I was so embarrassed and did not know what to do so I closed mu eyes and tried to go back to sleep for the remainder of the flight.”

On the basis of his own admission, Cho was arrested and now faces up to two years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

CONCLUSION

A Georgia doctor is in a heap of trouble Lying to investigators rarely works: humans tend to get caught in their own lies. Cho, 48, a nephrologist in the Atlanta suburb of Fayetteville, blamed the incident on his poor eyesight.

Now Cho could not only find himself in jail, but lose his professional license. If he was really going to Maine to propose to his girlfriend, I hope she thinks long and hard about marrying such a dullard. The answer is no.

This is a very special kind of idiot. Crotch grabbing someone seated next to you on an airplane? WTF? Then, the polygraph and police interrogation and statement without an attorney?

He worked for years to get that MD after his name. It’s not nearly as hard to earn the title RSO (registered sex offender).

    Clearly did not pay attention to the first part of what Trump said ;

“When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.”

When your a nobody, that does not work out so well

There’s a variety of reasons why someone would do so many awful, stupid things but I’m reminded of a recent case I have with my wife’s crooked orthodontist (pun intended). He attempted to overcharge my wife by 3X as well as didn’t file the insurance claims properly so he just false claimed her treatment was complete. He was so sure of himself despite the paper right in front of me showing he was crooked. I took him to court and he settled in arbitration but right up to the final moment, he acted as if he was 100% sure he had done everything correctly.

It stunned me that I was the first person to catch him in the act. Maybe I wasn’t and he had done this before and settled. I’m planning to file a police report when all the action settles down.

This would only happen in the USA. I get nervous sitting next to any woman. You never know what you can be accused of.

Seems too overly dramatic and unrealistic in description. It’s like I’m reading something right out of the “National Enquirer” with faked news stories.
