New Emirates 777 First Class Suite Looks Great!

Matthew Klint Posted onNovember 10, 2017November 14, 2023 3 Comments

Will Emirates outdo Singapore’s stunning new A380 Suite? The carrier is unveiling a new first class product for its 777 on Sunday and has released a teaser video offering hints at what the new product will look like.

I was able to extract the video below from Emirate’s UK homepage, where the video is partially blocked by text.

Several things stand out, even as only close-ups are shown.

Curtains!

Air France First Class is perhaps the most elegant first class product on market. Rather than sliding doors, its suites are enclosed by beautiful curtains. It is an innovative choice that I’m surprised more carriers have not emulated. It appears Emirates new first class will have curtains….

Doors

But doors as well, as the video also clearly shows doors which seem to open and close in a conventional fashion rather than on a sliding track.

Climate Control

a screen with buttons and a temperature indicator

Some like it hot, some like it cold, so why not be able to control the temperature in your own compartment? It appears this will be possible in the new 777 Emirates first class suite, with an adjustable climate control module. At least you’ll be able to adjust heat. It looks like a vent below the module, but this could just be a seat warming control.

Mood Lighting

a screen with a circular chart

I find mood lighting to be a gimmick, but some swear by it. Customization seems to be key in the new Emirates Suite. It appears in addition to controlling your own temperature, you can control you own lighting: even the color.

CONCLUSION

Competition and innovation drives progress and a better product for customers. I doubt Emirates will disappoint with its new product and look forward to learning about it on Sunday then testing it on a future flight.

Will the upgrades be joined by uncensored movies and tv shows?

Wonder if they’ll also release information on their new Premium Economy seats.
