Florida Airport Evacuated After Frontier Airlines Passenger Makes Bomb Threat

Hundreds of passengers at West Palm Beach were forced to evacuate a terminal concourse after a Frontier Airlines passenger made a bomb threat.

Frontier Airlines Bomb Threat In West Palm Beach, Florida

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening onboard an aircraft parked in Concourse C of Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). For reasons that remain unclear, a man announced that he had a bomb in his bag after boarding. He was traveling on Frontier Airlines flight 2346 to Philadelphia (PHL).

Airport authorities were summoned and the aircraft was evacuated. Meanwhile, passengers traveling to other destinations were immediately moved out of the concourse. The bomb squad and the FBI arrived and the man’s two carry-on bags were checked. No explosives were found, but the man was arrested. The terminal area remained evacuated for roughly 90 minutes, delaying six flights.

The flight to Philadelphia was ultimately delayed for 17 hours and will shortly depart this morning:

Frontier Airlines did not comment on the incident.

Unintended Consequences

An airplane can easily become a vector of discontent when sharing close quarters with strangers. This is especially true on Frontier Airlines, which packs in passengers with tight-seating and charges extra to bring hand baggage onboard as part of its ultra-low-cost business model.

But this incident reminds us yet again that using the word bomb, even in jest (and that may not be the case here), is never appropriate. In a world in which bombs are an existential threat to life and limb, the

And even though this man had just passed through a TSA security screening with his bags, officials and airlines will always err on the side of caution. Better for a flight to be delayed or terminal to be evacuated than a threat not to be taken seriously and a bomb to go off.

If someone really wanted to disrupt the airline system, calling in bomb threats for dozens of flights a day would certainly do the trick. These sorts of threats cannot be ignored: it is too risky.

CONCLUSION

A Frontier Airlines flight was delayed for 17 hours and a terminal was partially evacuated after a passenger made a bomb threat onboard. I hope that Frontier Airlines send the passenger a bill for every penny the ensuing flight delay cost, including damages that compensate passengers for their time lost.

Billing the passenger is probably an exercise in futility. Odds are he is mentally unstable and broke, just another judgement against him. There will be no compensation for customers and they are lucky if they even were offered a room for the night and a $10 meal voucher.

However he should spend time in jail and NEVER be allowed on a flight again.

Meanwhile our lovely administration was back in court last week fighting to restore the mask mandate on planes. If successful, bad behavior on planes will surely ramp up again.

    https://flvoicenews.com/biden-admin-fights-to-reinstate-transportation-mask-mandate-in-miami-court/

The Biden Administration is pushing to restore the travel mask mandate, which was struck down last year in a Florida federal district court. Last week, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals heard the first arguments from the Justice Department, which focused on whether the CDC has the authority to impose a mask mandate on airplanes.

According to the Justice Department, the mask mandate order “falls easily within the CDC’s statutory authority” because, as per the Public Health Service Act, the Health and Human Services (HHS) Department secretary has broad authority to enforce regulations and health measures concerning diseases, such as “sanitation” and “other measures.” However, the original complaint against the Biden administration, takes issue with the federal government’s unconstitutional power grab and broad interpretation of the law to enforce mask-wearing. One amicus brief cited 14 studies to show masks are ineffective against COVID-19.

AG Ashley Moody: “People need to know that @JoeBiden is attempting to reinstate an unlawful mandate forcing passengers as young as two to wear masks on airplanes and other public transportation. My attorneys are in court today in Miami fighting back.”

This is about power, not science. Try to find any Covid news on any US media now. It is gone!!! Actually, my local paper had news today that all state-run testing sites that were still open are closing for good today. Nobody talks about Covid anymore but ……

Yes and to that point I was shocked to see today that the admin is still fighting this mask battle. I follow so many news sources and aggregators and travel blogs but have not seen any mention of it until today. Perhaps I missed it but it’s seemingly always the important stuff like the attempted forced reintroduction of masks on travel that gets no press. Also, the Biden administration extended Covid public health emergency this month yet again, SMFH: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/01/11/biden-extends-covid-public-health-emergency-as-omicron-xbbpoint1point5-spreads.html. When does it end?? Dr. Ashish Jha has got to go. I’ve heard enough of him to last many lifetimes. He is insufferable and lies constantly.

Would you mind sharing your objection to extending the Covid public health emergency? From the CNBC link you provided, I did not see anything objectionable (“It has protected public health insurance coverage for millions, provided hospitals with greater flexibility to respond to patient surges and expanded telehealth.”) – however, I am not well informed about the exact details of the declaration.

My issue is less with the official emergency declarations and more with everything else. If there are positives like some you listed, then keep those, but end the emergency. Overall, the culture of fear in this country is deeply engrained by the MSM and government minute after minute, hour after hour. The news cycle is not healthy for most. I just saw an ad for NBC Nightly News — Kids Edition. That’s the last thing we need at this point.. let kids be kids. And then the elderly. They should be able to enjoy their latter years in peace. They have enough to be stressed about. Instead many are living in fear and panic due to the never ending COVID “emergency”.. The constant COVID fear porn is elder abuse, imo. It’s shame how how our elders are treated in this country. Furthermore, they are encouraging the exact boosters where there are admitted safety concerns: https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/us-says-pfizers-bivalent-covid-shot-may-be-linked-stroke-older-adults-2023-01-13. Drip drip drip is not just happening for classified docs [Obama next?] — it’s also happening for vaccines and COVID. Happily, Japan announced they will be treating COVID treating like the flu now. We need to do the same. Enough is enough at this point. They want to milk this emergency until the end of time it clearly just isn’t an emergency any longer. But of course Bill Gates, was in Australia giving a speech this past week stating the next pandemic will be man made and worse, et al. And of course the FDA said this week that the COVID shot(s?) need to be annual. No, thanks. It’s just never ending fear. On the bright side, Gates admitted in the same speech that vaccines are worthless. Yes, it was only in the context that we need better ones, but there have been many admissions as of late, and all over. The Age of Aquarius is the age of enlightenment. I am spiritual and believe we have to get the collective on our planet to a faith/love based mindset, somehow. Do we have enough time? Seems like we are running out. 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate Marianne Williamson was an excellent spiritual teacher pre-politics. She still is — in many ways — but I don’t agree with many of her views now. She used to go hard on the truth but still doesn’t want to admit that ‘conspiracy theorists’ are like 42 & 0 right now.. However, she has gotten many things right. She has said there will either be mass enlightenment or mass destruction — and that those are the only two choices humanity has at this point. I do agree. COVID and these never ending emergencies are the mass destruction path. We gotta flip these narratives and energy somehow. It’s up to us to right this ship. A lot of people hate my posts on here and people can mock conspiracy theorists all day — no one is even close to perfect — but we’ve been on a winning streak the likes of which the world has never seen. The issues are being calling on a daily basis. It’s not Qanon or MAGA or ECH (End COVID Hysteria). This trajectory feels way bigger than that, to me at least. It really does feel like a great awakening. And even as individual souls are lost to the cause, it seems this movement simply cannot be stopped. I do believe that one day the world will thank crazy conspiracy theorists for questioning everything and for finding hidden truths when few dare to search for them. History will judge kindly. I have no doubt.

Your post, and the article you linked, is a bit misleading. CDC is trying to assert that it has the authority to impose a mask mandate when it deems it to be necessary (which the court rejected last April), not necessarily that it will do so. But, I also share your fear that they will reinstate the mandate if given this authority, and hope that they lose the appeal.

Great job though 1) spreading false news, 2) writing a ridiculously long manifesto on the topic, and 3) show your stripes by talking about “the MSM” all while quoting a sensationalist right wing site that does not even understand basic facts.

Jeez, you really must be lonely in the Matrix. Always following me around. You comment nothing of substance but attack those who do.. Anyway, I’m taking Jake at his word. I have said I will concede when appropriate. I provided the info I thought true and correct at the time. I wouldn’t knowingly post fake info and I don’t have time to dive deep into everything. I mentioned the MSM because they didn’t report that the Biden Administration was in court on this. And it’s not that much of a stretch to think that they would instantly reintroduce the mask mandate anyway. Have you heard Dr. Jha? He’s COVID obsessed. Have you heard the Biden Administration? They are COVID obsessed. Have you heard the Democrats? They are COVID obsessed. So foh with the false news accusations please, because as stated, conspiracy theorists are still 42-0. Maybe 41-1 now, if your accusations are correct. Which they aren’t. On elections, feel free to debate hat, as I’ve stated. I am not conceding there. I’m not even MAGA or a huge Trump supporter — but he was way better than Biden and I am about FAIR & FREE elections. If you’d like to educate yourself on the latest about LAKE v. HOBBS, et al., read this: https://www.scribd.com/document/621906036/Kari-Lake-Appeal-Reply-Brief. AZ Court of Appeals may be corrupt, but I think SCOTUS will accept this one. My intuition was right on Obergefell and I believe it’s right on Lake. Until next time, Mr. Smith.
