A Delta Air Lines flight diverted to Boston and a passenger onboard, former NFL offensive lineman Gosder Cherilus, was arrested after purportedly urinating on his seatmate.

Former NFL Linebacker Gosder Cherilus Arrested On Suspicion Of Urinating On Seatamte On Delta Air Lines Flight To Dublin

Delta flight 154 took off just after midnight on Sunday from Boston (BOS) bound for Dublin (DUB). But just two hours later it was back on the ground in Boston. Per Massachusetts State Police, the flight returned to Logon Airport “because of an unruly passenger who urinated on another passenger on board.”

After State Police boarded the aircraft, Cherilus, 40, refused to get off. Eventually, police were able to force him off:

“Troopers verbally commanded Cherilus to leave the plane, but he became irate and uncooperative. Eventually, Troopers escorted Cherilus to the jet bridge and placed him under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing a Flight Crew.”

Cherilus was a college football star at Boston College and drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2008. Over his eight-year NFL career, he played for Detroit, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Delta apologized for the delay:

“Delta has zero tolerance for unlawful behavior and will cooperate with law enforcement to that end. We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel.”

Passengers were rebooked on alternate flights. Cherilus will appear in court today and faces charges of Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing a Flight Crew.

Still no answer if he whipped it out and urinated on someone or just pissed himself and it ended up on another passenger. In any case unacceptable and the correct decision was made.

I believe the urinator needs to be financially responsible for all of the associated costs. The plane was delayed a day so the amount should be substantial overall including all those inconvenienced.

And jail time needs to be involved as well and alcohol isn’t an excuse.

There also has to be further understanding of what exactly happened. If willfully urinated on another passenger, the beast should be given a suspended sentence of amputation of his genitalia such that any repeat if this in the next 20 year will result in carrying put the original sentence.

When a player that has had a long career acts inappropriately I question how many concussions he may have suffered. Or have they always been a jerk.

Don’t know. He doesn’t seem to have a history of odd behavior. ( that I could find. ) And playing high school, college and professional football. chances he has had a couple of head injuries are likely.

Well , urinary incontinence could be a result of prostate surgery . ( Which could be alleviated by an external catheter – funnel and bottle – if one expected to be on a long flight .) This is common , and is not related to head injury .

In fairness to Mr Cherilus, you pretty much have to be this messed up to watch BC football these days and the season is starting soon.

Better call Baltimore attorney Barry Glazer – Legal advocate for the injured, disabled & urinated upon since 1968.

Agree 100%, I felt the same about the lowlife that flew with a sh#t bag that exploded recently and took grief for pointing out how selfish he was.

David Miller, no one is making excuses. But even the NFL admits we have years of CTE potential time bombs out there.
