Intoxicated Passenger Headbutts Flight Attendant When Told To Wear Mask

A passenger is in oceans of trouble after allegedly consuming a half gallon of vodka prior to boarding his flight, then assaulting a flight attendant when he was asked to wear a mask.

Intoxicated Man Headbutts Flight Attendant When Told To Wear Mask

24-year-old Daniel Hendry was vacationing in Tenerife on Spain’s Canary Islands and had a few too many prior to his flight back to Manchester on January 29th.

The Ryanair flight took off without incident, but trouble broke out as the flight approached the United Kingdom. Passengers around Hendry reported that he had turned verbally aggressive. Visibly intoxicated, Hendry also refused to wear a mask onboard. Flight attendants found him sitting with his mask off and an open bottle of Smirnoff Vodka that was almost empty. He confessed that he had consumed it onboard.

Hendry was moved to the rear of the aircraft, but due to his strong accent and slurred speech, had trouble communicating and became further agitated.

A male fight attendant confronted him and Hendry turned violent, telling the FA:

“F**k off, I’m going to punch you. I’m going to smash your head in!”

He proceeded to headbutt the flight attendant. Hendry then turned to a female flight attendants…and stroked her arm.

The captain attempted to divert, but was not given clearance to land early so the flight crew pushed ahead, landing in Manchester 25 minutes ahead of schedule.

Police met the aircraft and Hendry was promptly arrested, where he proceeded to damage the police van by banging his head against the windows and doors.

Appearing before a crown court via video link, Hendry pleaded guilty. Sentcing will be next month. He is a British resident of Tenerife and was visiting to Manchester to see his girlfriend.

CONCLUSION

Hendry faces a £5,000 fine and up to two years in jail for his conduct under UK law. He should be thankful the captain did not receive clearance to divert or else his fine could have risen by as much as £80,000.

A man headbutts a flight attendant after drinking almost a full bottle of illicit vodka…what a world.

I hate the sexist behavior. Boys should be taught it is as normal to punch women as it is to punch other guys.

Either do it to both or dont do it at all. Guys should be paid more until there is data to backup that this sexist behavior has stopped.

Let me guess even before I read the article: the guy was British and flying to Manchester. Did I get it correct? LOL!!!!! British from Manchester is the perfect combination of the most obnoxious drunk people you will ever find. Not kidding, I used to fly to MAN once a month for many years. The airport is a zoo and it is worst than a bad bus station in Latin America. They had a few lounges that opened at 5AM and the Brits were already drinking beer for breakfast.

Whenever I see a group of lads going out on the lash, usually Micks or Mancs.

I once flew from MAN to Spain on Ryanair. I was sitting on first row next to the front lavatory. There was a group of maybe 15 women that were going to Spain for a bachelorette party. They were already getting hammered at the lounge before boarding the plane. They were very loud. They kept drinking non stop inside the plane so they had to go to the bathroom frequently. They all took their shoes off and were walking bare feet inside the plane including in the bathroom. I could see from my seat that the bathroom was nasty, floor all wet (who knows what that liquid was) and they kept one by one going to the bathroom without any shoes the entire flight. That gave a very good idea what would happen that weekend in Spain.

Excellent. …I was going to write the same thing! I don’t know why he was allowed to board in the first place. He finished a bottle of vodka, while waiting? His GF must be another piece of work.

I’m wondering how everyone missed the guy guzzling a handle of vodka. Maybe the flight was empty.
