Live and Let’s Fly Weekend Digest: April 29, 2018

Greetings from the fairly remote Las Padres National Forrest about 90 minutes north of Los Angeles. It was special weekend for me: my brother is getting married next week and this weekend was his bachelor party.

Heidi, don’t worry…it has been a very calm weekend. We’re in a lodge-style house. Our big activity was not strippers or a nightclub, but driving to Soda Lake, which reminded me of a small version of Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.

We also got to see the San Andreas fault close-up. We BBQed and watched The Office, my brother’s favorite show. Talk about a tame weekend…much like my own bachelor party.

In terms of travel, Kyle broke some fairly startling (but hardly unsurprising) news about the SPG-Marriott merger. I also got a look at United’s beautiful new Polaris Lounge in San Francisco.

Here’s a review of the week’s top stories plus a look back at every story that appeared on Live and Let’s Fly.
