New FA Wings Coming to United Airlines

Matthew Klint Posted onOctober 30, 2011December 6, 2016 21 Comments

United Airlines has asked its flight attendants to choose new flight attendant wings as part of a uniform refresh coming next year.

On the UA internal site, FAs were given the following information:

“Now we invite you to vote for your favorite wings. All you have to do is choose the one design you like best and click submit. Click on the images for a larger view. Only one entry per flight attendant please. Voting opens 18:00 (Central Time) on Oct. 28 and closes at 23:59 (Central Time) time on Nov. 27, 2011.”

Here’s a peek at the six pin designs under consideration:

#1 United new FA wings01

#2 United new FA wings02

#3 United new FA wings03

#4 United new FA wings04

#5 United new FA wings06

#6 United new FA wings07

Tough choice. I am leaning toward #4…

How about you?

Personally, I like 2 and 6, but 4 is very nice too.

Number 2 and 6 are the only ones without the CO meatball being so prominent. I’ll bet with the majority of employees being former UA employees that one of those two “win”.

They’re all nice, except I’m not a fan of 3.

Agreed Mike. I think that is why I prefer those as well. I guess I’d pick #6. I prefer that UNITED is more prominent than the globe.

#4 looks the best to me. #1 for cat lovers (looks like cat eyes!)

Doesn’t #2 look like the Delta logo on the right?

As much as I’m anti-meatball, these look better with it being more prominent. Better balance with it there. So…I’d vote for #1 or #4.

#2 reminds me of something the German army would have.

Definitely #6, followed by #2. In general, the smaller the bingo cage, the better.

Is it me, or does #2 look like it should be the emblem of a car from the 1950s?
