A pair of naughty travelers have finally faced justice for their transgressions onboard a Southwest Airlines flight. One man received a 48-day jail sentence for pleasuring himself in front of his female seatmate while the infamous woman who assaulted a flight attendant has been handed a 15-month jail sentence.

Hoodlums of Southwest Airlines Now Face Justice, Jail Time

Case #1: The Pervert

A judge has sentenced Antonio McGarity to 48 days in jail plus one year of probation after he confessed to masturbating next to a female passenger onboard a Southwest Airlines flight from Seattle (SEA) to Phoenix (PHX) on April 2, 2022.

I wrote about this last month. You may recall the lurid details of the FBI Report, which I share once again only to underscore the seriousness of the matter:

McGarity exposed his penis and masturbated while in view of the female passenger seated next to him. McGarity was seated in seat 11F and his female witness was seated in seat 11E. Shortly after takeoff, and while the aircraft was in the air, McGarity exposed his penis by pulling down his pants and shorts and began masturbating.

The female witness captured pictures of McGarity with his hand on his erect penis, which I reviewed during the course of my investigation. At some point during the flight, McGarity fell asleep and the female witness got up and advised the flight crew about the incident. She was moved to another seat on the aircraft.

After Southwest Airlines Flight 3814 landed in Phoenix, Arizona, the female witness sitting next to McGarity was interviewed by Phoenix Police Officers. She advised McGarity exposed his penis by pulling down his pants and shorts and proceeded to masturbate during the first hour of the flight, starting shortly after takeoff.

McGarity masturbated with his exposed penis in view of the female passenger on four separate occasions, using both his left and right hands. She suspected that McGarity ejaculated because he licked a white substance from his fingers.

Whether he has mental health issues or is simply a disgusting pervert, he will spend up to 48 days in jail. After, he will be on probation for one year, which will include a ban on commercial flying.

Note, McGarity has “several” prior convictions for lewd and lascivious conduct on both the state and local level.

Case #2: The Brutal Assault

In another case, Vyvianna Quinonez, who assaulted a flight attendant on a Sacramento (SMF) to San Diego (SAN) flight on May 23, 2021 has finally been sentenced for her behavior.

Quinonez stood up after her plane landed, refused to put her tray table up, and then attacked a flight attendant, breaking three teeth and inflicting a number of bruises and cuts, which required stitches.

She was originally handed a rather light jail sentence via plea deal, but incurred a DUI prior to sentencing, which led to an enhanced sentence, including:

  • 15 months in jail
  • $25,000+ in restitution
  • $7,500 fine for assault
  • no flying commercial while under supervised release (three yers)
  • mandatory anger management class

Quinonez blamed her DUI on her recent gastric band surgery and claimed the flight attendant got in her face, prompting her “self-defensive” act.

CONCLUSION

A pair of hoodlums have been sentenced for their poor behavior on Southwest Airlines. Hopefully these sentences will serve as a deterrent for others who will now think twice before acting out onboard Southwest or any other commercial flight.

Mathew, in the second case, the 15 month sentence was suspended on payment of restitution, a fine, not flying for 3 years, and completion of anger management classes.

Generally a court can only imprison or fine within statutory limits. But they can sentence someone and suspend the sentence on condition of any sort of completion of pretty much anything. It’s how they get around the prohibition on debtors prisons.

      Thank you for that clarification!

No different than people who have shown a willingness to make threats about shootings, shouldn’t we have a better system for keeping serial jackers off the street?

This guy apparently has a history of history of it. Why is he on the streets or in the sky?

We see the warnings signs but do little about it. Those damn people concerned about peoples civil rights are responsible when this stuff happens. Sorry but when you threaten to shoot up a school or are playing the pink guitar in public, you lose your rights to be a member of society. Lock these bastards up before another female has to take a picture of an erect package on a plane to prove they guy was spanking his monkey.

Really Dave, equivalent to mass shooters?

He’s talking about making threats, not actually shooting up the school.
