Baby Meal In SWISS Business Class

Matthew Klint Posted onFebruary 19, 2022November 14, 2023 6 Comments

Although we did not order one, the crew presented a baby meal to my one-year-old daughter on our flight from Zurich to Los Angeles in business class.

SWISS Business Class Baby Meal

When it comes to food for our baby, we have learned to travel prepared and had an assortment of snacks like fruit, rice cakes, and of course plenty of milk packed.

Typically, we’ll let her sample our own food (sometimes she loves it, though she’s currently in a stage where she is pushing back most green vegetables…blame her grandparents in Germany for that), which is enough with the bottle.

But flight attendants delivered a tray with apple sauce as well as a macaroni salad with shaved carrots and peas. They called it the “baby meal” but I do wonder if it was meant for Augustine (even though we did not order him a kid’s meal) because I cannot imagine the pasta salad works for most babies (though Claire Marie liked it and ate it all). Plus, the napkin had a “CHML” sticker on it, which seems to suggest children’s meal.

Perhaps they never served the main course, but that was it – nothing else was provided. That did not stop Claire Marie from eating my bread…and her brother’s bread.

Meanwhile, my son enjoyed an adult meal with appetizer, main course, cheese, and dessert.

I looked back at our economy class meal from July, where we also received an unsolicited child’s meal, which included a main course of chicken tenders with macaroni & cheese, potato salad, crackers & cheese, a bread roll, brownie, Oreo cookies, and a Kit Kat bar…

CONCLUSION

We received apple sauce and a macaroni salad for the baby on our intercontinental SWISS business class flight, without even requesting it. Even so, I recommend bringing some additional food of your own if traveling with your baby.

Yesterday home from JNB in LX Business. Dinner CHML was very complete with chicken, pasta, peas, carrots as well as fresh fruits and bread. And luckily no sweets. My 2.5y eagerly ate it all.

Breaking news! We already know your older kids are going to grow up to entitled little sh!tbags with no much premium travel so young, try to have some dignity rather than writing fawning articles clearly deisgned to try to get you a freebie, nothing short of pathetic.

You think SWISS is going to give me any freebies? Lol. I sued them twice…they are not my biggest fans.
