Tickets Available for United SFO Family Day on October 12, 2014

United Airlines hosts a Family Day at its giant maintanence center at San Francisco International Airport each autumn. In past years, select members from Flyertalk and MilePoint have been invited to attend and I have attended twice – it is a great event. This year, United has again extended an invite beyond employees and family to the greater United family–its most enthusiastic customers.

  • Date: Sunday October 12th
  • Time: 11:00am to 4:30pm
  • Location: SFO Maintenance Center

This year, we’re bringing back a lot of what you know and love, including aircraft on display (from multiple United narrow- and wide-bodies, to stunt planes and civilian models) maintenance facility tours, a plane pull contest, and more. Featured guests also include the Patriots precision flying team, which was founded by a United pilot and is the only civilian jet demonstration team in the United States.

If you are intereted in attending, fill out the following survey and someone from United will let you know via e-mail by September 26th if they are able to confirm you. Space is limited but a “standby” list is available. United will clear those on the standby list by October 9th. Once confirmed, you will receive an email with more details.

Whether a United fan, skeptic, hater or just an airplane nut, this is a fun event that I highly recommend.

My name is Patrick Timmons and I am United’s Biggest Fan! I love the company, and hope to work for them in the future. I have recently taken some photos for a United Captain’s retirement flight, and I love the employees that work for united. I attended this event last year via Civil Air Patrol, but sadly CAP isn’t attending this year. I am a student pilot as well, and hope to be able to attend this great event!
