United Airlines Adds Laurent-Perrier Rosé Champagne…But Only For One Day

Update: If You’re flying United Airlines in Polaris Business Class today, you can once again enjoy Laurent-Perrier Rosé Champagne in honor of Valentine’s Day. It’s nice to see United bring this back in 2026.

Last year, United introduced Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Champagne onboard its Polaris business class cabins, representing a serious upgrade. Travelers on United on Valentine’s Day are in for a “twice as nice” treat with Laurent-Perrier Rosé also loaded–but just for one day.

United Airlines Will Offer Laurent-Perrier Rosé Champagne For Valentine’s Day

A short memo to flight attendants shared with Live And Let’s Fly announced that United will stock its regular champagne and rosé on Valentine’s Day this year, which falls on February 14:

We’re showing our love for our Polaris customers with a special treat on Valentine’s Day, February 14 only!

With a raspberry hue, Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Rosé champagne evokes the essence of raspberry, red currant, strawberry and black cherry — the perfect way to celebrate this special occasion. This champagne will be available in addition to Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Champagne. If you’re working a flight with La Cuvée Rosé on board, let customers know it’s a Valentine’s Day surprise!

If you’re flying in United Polaris and fancy champagne, be sure to ask in case your flight attendants missed this memo.

And maybe, just maybe, this is a tease of what could come in the future? After all, United says it wants to be the best carrier in the world (or ask CEO Scott Kirby, who says United already is the best in the world), but when it comes to the food and beverage program, United still has a ways to go. Qatar Airways, considered by many the leader, including me, of in-flight catering, offers both standard and rosé champagne on every one of its longhaul flights.

It would be great to see United offer the same, which would truly distinguish it from American and Delta. But for now, you can still catch both champagnes if you fly United in Polaris.

And while they’re at it why not show some love to the unwashed ‘untouchables’ in the back ? Maybe a crappy American Hersheys Chocolate ‘Kiss’ ? ( just ONE per pax, though ! ) …

That is great champagne. I hope some young couples still in the honeymoon phase get to enjoy it.

So United is moving to really good champagne, but only for a day, then switching back to mediocre stuff? How Kirby.

The rosé is only for Valentine’s Day, but there is Laurent-Perrier available every day in Polaris. Not cheap at all. If only the food would also improve…

I initially misread this as United upping the champagne in all premium cabins, including non-Polaris F/J, to Laurent-Perrier for one day. Come to think of it, that would be a neat little marketing gimmick.

Happy valentine’s day! Pick up some chocolate truffles and score romantic points. Brut rosé and a bit of chocolate are a great once a year pairing

Well done UA! Let’s add that with its pioneering and emblematic Cuvée Rosé since 1968 (crafted exclusively from Pinot Noir and produced using the rare method of maceration), Maison Laurent-Perrier stands as a benchmark in the world of rosé champagnes, offering amateurs and connoisseurs alike exceptional cuvées that combine elegance, intensity, and refinement.

I think LP is excellent. For UA to do this for just a day tops the cheapness level of AA who’s doing caviar just for a month (this April, in honor of their 100 years).

But UA does have LP every day, just not the rosé.
