United Airlines is front and center at Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship New York City store this weekend.

Through Monday, Saks Fifth Avenue is highlighting United’s new summer destinations from Newark and its Polaris business class product in the ground floor street windows of its 5th Avenue store.

United is offering summer seasonal service to the following four cities:

  • Naples, Italy (NAP)
  • Porto, Portugal (OPO)
  • Prague, Czech Republic (PRG)

The window display will run through June 11th.

You might recall this is not the first time United has been featured at Saks Fifth Avenue. When the partnership first started in late 2016, Saks’ featured its well-dressed mannequins enjoying the new Polaris seats in its store windows.

At least United isn’t dumb enough to display Polaris seats there. I was picturing people booking a flight after admiring the seat, only to get an eight across seat on their actual flight. Until all planes have been converted, I’m not sure it makes sense to advertise a product that’s only intermittently available, even in the tasteful way they did it in this case.

Or a Polaris meal. But I agree, aren’t most of these seasonal flights using the older planes, like the 757?
