United Airlines Adds Super Bowl LVII Flights From Philadelphia + Kansas City

Super Bowl LVII is coming on Sunday, February 12, 2023 and will feature the Kansas City Chiefs battling the Philadelphia Eagles at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. United Airlines is adding a number of special flights to and from Philadelphia (PHL) and Kanas City (MCI) to Phoenix (PHX) for the big game.

In total, United will add three round trips from Kansas City and two from Philadelphia, according to the following schedule:

CONCLUSION

United is adding extra segments ahead of the Super Bowl and the flights are now for sale. As for me, I could not care less about the football game or Rihanna’s halftime show, but I am looking forward to seeing if Turkish Airlines comes up with a clever ad this year!

Will you be traveling to the Super Bowl LVII in Arizona?

NFL is not a sport. It is an association of business people that owns teams and the overpaid commissioner makes sure the interests of the most powerful owners are met. It is always all about money. The officiating of NFL games has been disgraceful and now finally people are understanding of what is behind. Look at the Bengals vs Chiefs game yesterday. The Bengals were robbed in prime time and nobody cares. I have no plans to spend my money in a rigged business.

Everything is about money, just look up the price of these flights.

The NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) policy for NCAA players which allows players hefty compensation (payments) is now destroying that league. NCAA football has now become a junior NFL league with players demanding and receiving big bucks. IMO college players should play because they love the game, not because of money.

A handful of routes from various hubs to PHX were also significant up-gauged. DEN and ORD are getting the high density 777 to PHX.

Interesting thing is that PHL-PHX is an AA hub to hub route, but UA and DL are both going in on it anyways.

I know your status with United forces content to focus on the airline, but for God sakes, man. can we move off United articles? I am truly expecting an article in the future entitled “United CEO gets Colonoscopy”.

Come on Mr. Justice, this is one angle of the blog. I write about United more than most, but that’s hardly a surprise (as you concede). You don’t have to click on the article if it looks boring. Hopefully, I provide enough alternate content for you and others who may not care to read another United story.

@Matthew: the post would read better if you shared that multiple airlines are adding extra flights to the Super Bowl.

That PHX-MCI Red eye on 2/13 has to be one of the most brutally timed red eye flights I have ever seen! Just as bad as LAS-DFW on Spirit. Yikes!
