In December, I mentioned that United Airlines is refocusing on domestic flying. The plan is win back the road warriors and leisure travelers alienated during the Smisek era by focusing on operational reliability.
United CEO Oscar Munoz recently told employees that United suffered by using small planes on routes that should utilize large planes. He’s right. But United also lost market share by cutting domestic capacity at its domestic hubs and essentially shrinking while Delta and American grew.
Today’s news is that it United is adding new (or reintroducing discontinued) routes from a number of cities.
New Domestic Routes on United

CONCLUSION
It is always nice to see new domestic routes on United. These routes are in addition to the new San Francisco to Munich route announced earlier.
