The new United Airlines Polaris Lounge at Houston (IAH) offers a great mix of a la carte dining options and adult beverages. I’ve consolidated both menus into this post.
First, note that all food and drink are complimentary. Tipping is not expected.

How Will United Address Potential Overcrowding Issue?
The Dining Room seats 28 guests at a time. While there is a fairly large open dining area nearby, United is still figuring out how to handle an overflow in its a la carte restaurant. I find the a la carte menu appealing and I suspect many will opt for that over the buffet. United must find a way to ensure people don’t face multi-hour waits for a table (like trying to get a massage from British Airways at the Elmis Spa in Heathrow…).
CONCLUSION
I look forward to visiting the new Polaris lounge soon and offering a full a la carte review. In the meantime, you can check out pictures of the new lounge here. Note that the lounge is open from 5:30AM – 10:30PM daily.

Yay! I hope to see it soon. I also appreciate the wine suggestions. Didn’t notice that at EWR or ORD though ORD had a lovely bartender/sommelier who would come over to give you advice. ORD also has a secret off-menu vegetarian sandwich that is delicious (fresh bread, grilled veggies with an aioli sauce and cheese).
This menu read delicious, as does the Newark menu. Why does a fantastic food line San Francisco have such a crummy a la carte menu then? That one needs a complete rethink.
Thanks Matthew. Looking forward to seeing and reading about your in person thoughts.
I went to the pre-opening yesterday, 6/27, and it is a very nice facility…..Dined on the three egg omelet, and for lunch later in the afternoon had the Polaris burger,,,,both very well prepared and good.. And I did enjoy the Polaris Old Fashioned from the bar! Overall a very great improvement from the UA Club facilities at IAH,,and I look forward to visiting again
That menu does look good, and kudos to UA for sprinkling in a few Tex-Mex and Cajun dishes to keep it regionally appropriate. I’m a little surprised they didn’t go with a taco bar, though.
