Review: Pura Indah Lounge Jakarta (CGK)

The Pura Indah Business Class Lounge in Jakarta (CGK) was crowded and warm, with unusable wi-fi internet and food that looked like it had been sitting out for too long. This is a Priority Pass lounge to avoid.

Seating is plentiful on the business class side, but plugs are few and far between.

While the lounge had a large buffet, the food did not look fresh. Nor did it smell fresh. Looks can be deceiving, but I decided not to eat anything. Now it may be that I missed out on some of the best Indonesian and Indian food of the trip, but I figured I had a pair of flights just ahead that would be well-catered.

Looking at these pictures, though, you can see my point, right?

The one thing I enjoyed at this lounge was a cappuccino. A Swiss-made Jure machine ground beans and foamed milk, creating a nice cappuccino.

The bathroom was crowded and I did not see any shower facilities, though the Priority Pass website indicates that showers are available.

I tried connecting to the internet multiple times and the connection either dropped or was too slow to even load Gmail.

CONCLUSION

A better Priority Pass lounge at Jakarta (CGK) is the Premier Lounge next door. Not only does that lounge have massage facilities, but it is more spacious, seating is more comfortable, and food appears fresher.

That said, this lounge still beats waiting in the terminal. Just don’t arrive early for it. This airside lounge is located in Terminal 2D. Hours of operation are daily from 5:00am to midnight. There is also a first class side of the lounge, which I did not have access to.

Crowded? The pictures and even your comments suggest there were lots of seats.
I’ll take your word for the freshness of the food – the photos don’t look any worse than a lot of other places.

As long as other people in the lounge/restaurant are eating, I usually feel comfortable doing the same. That approach usually works, though in a couple of instances it failed me terribly lol
