Female Passenger Tied To Her Chair After Streaking On Flight

To Russia, where a 39-year-old woman was tied to the seat by her fellow passengers after she repeatedly took her underwear off and walked up and down the aircraft aisle. Yes, there’s video.

Russian Woman Tied To Her Seat With Rope and Duct Tape After Repeatedly Taking Underwear Off On Flight

The unidentified woman stood up after takeoff on an S7 flight leaving Vladivostok and began walking up and down the aisle, then took her clothes off. And then put them on again. Then took them off again. Then put them on again.

You get the idea…

This continued for awhile even though the crew approached her and directed her to return to her seat. She was clearly disoriented and appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Deeming her a threat to herself and potentially others, but not sufficient to divert, passengers and crew members teamed up to tie her to the chair. Check the video below – the seatbelt was used a neck restraint and rope plus tape was used to secure her arms to her side.

The flight continued to Novosibirsk (a six hour flight), where it landed safely. There, police met the flight and the woman was removed from the aircraft and arrested.

At the police station, she admitted to ingesting “synthetic drugs” prior to reaching Vladivostok Airport and now faces charges of “petty hooliganism.”

CONCLUSION

I’m not making any jokes about this case…it’s a sad one. But I do want to credit the passengers and flight crew for just tying the woman off instead of diverting the flight, which would have wasted time and fuel. Frankly, hog-tying an unruly passenger using rope and duct tapes makes a lot more sense.

Life without duct tape would be a lot harder.

Rather than humiliate her, why not just ignore it. Was it such an intrusion? Doubtful there was any risk to the flight, and restraining her seems overly harsh. “Hooliganism”, petty or otherwise, is used by the state to penalise those they don’t like.
“Synthetic drugs” could well mean “medication”

Good thing they don’t do that here or Kyle might have been hog tied on United for asking about a snack box in economy.

Some of the comments here denote the sickness of the readers. I would hope that a person with a malfunction, whatever it is, it treated with compassion. Many people have things going on. Mental illness, adverse drug reactions, panic attacks and other things can lead to abnormal behavior. Adequate force to put her in a seat but duct tape? Really?

People on unknown synthetic drugs(think Fentanyl, Oxy..etc)or just lots of alcohol can be very unpredictable so safer to keep her away from the exit doors. Tho tying her incorrectly with no one watching her could have its problems too.
