Review: Air France Lounge Frankfurt (FRA)

Before my KLM flight to Amsterdam, I had a half hour to check out the Air France Lounge in Frankfurt’s Terminal 2.

Note this lounge is also a Priority Pass lounge, but was not crowded at all around 6:30 P.M. Hours of operation are from 5:45 A.M. to 8:15 P.M. every day. Note that Priority Pass members are not permitted access between 4:30 P.M. and 6:30 P.M.

This lounge felt like a hospital lobby from the 1980’s. In fact, I bet that was the last time it was updated. The color scheme was depressing and the lounge smelled musty…I did not want to stay long. Power plugs were limited, even in the office area of the lounge.

a table with bowls of food and bottles of wine

a stack of red white and blue napkins on a plate

Drinks included water (Evian), soft drinks, juices, coffee (including espresso-based beverages) and self-serve alcoholic beverages.

The lounge offers no restrooms or showers. If you need to use the restroom, you’ll need to exit he lounge, turn right, head down a ramp, and turn right again. There you will find public restrooms.

CONCLUSION

Why a disappointing lounge. I guess it is better than nothing, but I simply would not waste any time in the lounge.

Thanks. I’m flying AA business out of FRA in Nov and was wondering which lounges I’ll visit; I’ll strike this one and stick with the Cathay Pacific Lounge.
