Amazing Suite Upgrade at Park Hyatt Vienna

Matthew Klint Posted onMay 11, 2017May 11, 2017 2 Comments

Over the weekend I stayed at the Park Hyatt Vienna, one of my favorite hotels in the Hyatt portfolio. A quadruple upgrade to an Ambassador Suite made my stay even more pleasant.

Here are a handful of shots from my room–

If you think I pulled the blogger card, you’d be wrong. I used cash + points for the redemption and applied a suite upgrade to my reservation, even noting I would have likely received a free suite anyway as a Globalist. I’d say the upgrade was much more likely due to my past stay at the hotel and Hyatt status than my small-time blog.

I find it difficult to use points at this hotel. Unsurprisingly, the hotel seems to fill up and I notice that the property is stingy in making cash + points bookings available. With the high 60-night threshold required for Globalist requalifcation this year, I cannot afford any pure award redemptions. When last-minute space opened at this property for three consecutive nights, I quickly grabbed it.

A full review will be coming soon. Once again, I had an incredible stay at the hotel. For Globalists trying to ascertain which property is best to use your suite upgrades at, I’d say this is your hotel. Not that you’ll get an Ambassador Suite, but you may…and even the base level Park Suites are very nice. Heck, even standard rooms are great at this hotel (see my original review from 2014 below).

This is a much nicer suite than the one I got there last year. I did the same – C&P + DSU. Too bad there’s no more amenity. I got a bottle of champagne.
