Cute: Baby Kangaroo Hops Down Aisle On American Airlines Flight

American Airlines Kangaroo

While emotional support animals will soon be banned on American Airlines, one last kangaroo managed to slip onboard and hop down the aisle, much to the delight of those onboard.

A Cute Kangaroo On American Airlines

The kangaroo appeared onboard a recent flight from Charlotte, North Carolina (CLT) to Newport News, Virginia (PHF), operated by PSA, a regional subsidiary of American Airlines.

The video was captured by flight attendant Bobby Weston and shared on a popular instagram page for American Airlines flight attendants:

In the video, you can hear the little kangaroo being coaxed down the aisle, lured by a bag (or perhaps the contents inside).

Why was the kangaroo onboard? While it is not clear why the creature was permitted onboard, it was not serving as an emotional support animal, in this case at least, but was part of an “animal conservation effort.”

Starting on Monday, February 1st, American Airlines will no longer permit emotional support animals, including kangaroos, in its cabins. These creatures, including cute kangaroos, can be transported in the cargo hold for $125.

CONCLUSION

I’m all for the move by airlines to greatly restrict emotional support animals. That won’t stop me from noting how cute some dogs, cats, or kangaroos are that will no longer be allowed onboard.

What are your thoughts on the American Airlines kangaroo?

Was it a private flight for the Joey? I don’t see anyone on board.

Maybe he got pre-boarding ahead of Concierge Key? 😉

The Joey was part of an animal education program and not an emotional support animal. “Kylo Roo” is a conservation ambassador who arrived from the West Coast and was destined for shows at Busch Gardens in Colonial Williamsburg.

Not right, Young Joey should be with its mother at this early age. I CAN’T WAIT TILL THEY BAN THIS PRACTICE ITS TOTALLY BEING ABUSED.

A joey learns everything from his Mum and nothing from being on parade/show for the amusement of others, even if there’s an education/conservation angle to it. We don’t know anything about his circumstances or why he’s on the plane…but I hope it’s not for entertainment value.
