Only a few weeks after Singapore Airlines announced their new first, business and economy class designs, Cathay Pacific is following suit. Today they announced their anticipated refresh of their first class seat.
While the new seat isn’t a big departure from their existing design it now includes a new 4.3″ touch screen LCD controller, more adjustable meal tray, more room in the personal closet and new materials.
The first 777-300ER aircraft with the refreshed first class cabin enters service tomorrow, with the rest of the fleet to be completed by the third quarter of 2014.
How do I book this space?
Cathay Pacific’s Asia Miles program is an American Express Membership Rewards transfer partner and Cathay Pacific flights can also be booked using British Airways Executive Club Avios. Fuel surcharges are relatively low on Cathay Pacific flights and availability is great for travel in 2014. Take a look at this first class availability from Los Angeles for next July–
Business class award space is even more abundant and if you are a family seeking to travel to Asia, Cathay is a good bet to secure multiple premium class seats.
Note that the American Airlines AAdvantage program remains the best loyalty program to book Cathy premium awards in at a cost of 55K one-way in business or 67.5K one-way in first with no fuel surcharge from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada to Hong Kong (and beyond).
This looks great. I love Cathay Pacific First, and it is the main reason I did both US and AA credit card applications this week…
Looks nice! Hopefully they removed the advertisements from the F IFE system..
