It’s hard to comprehend the past couple of days, and all I’ve been doing is praying that God would speak through us, use this story, and give us strength to keep going despite all the evil we have encountered.
It breaks our heart that we couldn’t bring our daughter, 💔 we tried calling the airlines and couldn’t get a straight answer from anyone and we could honestly just not go through again what we went through on Friday. Just driving to the airport today was super triggering.
Our daughter is in the best hands at home, and as hard as it is that she’s not here- knowing how much love she is surrounded by gives us so much peace. We couldn’t bear to take her through what we went through again.
I STILL feel humiliated, traumatized, and triggered by what happened. But the amount of messages I have gotten by people being on our side and experiencing similar situations has truly been overwhelmingly beautiful.
And the reason we are able to be on this Delta flight in the boujiest first class, is because Bryant Ellis reached out and offered to get us to our next destination AND in first class.
I balled my eyes out. And here we are. ✈️🧡
I can’t disclose exactly all the reasons we had to get down to Palm Beach for, but you bet there are a lot of things in the works, stay tuned for the next couple of days.
And for all the people calling us morons for traveling in a pandemic, please slide to the next picture posted BY @united and remember there are hundreds of thousands of people flying every single day- but if it makes you happy to single us out, then whatever floats your boat.
I’m posting about this for a few reasons. First, it pays to get thrown off a United flight…it seems a lot of charity has been thrown at the family including a first class ticket on Delta. Second, as the father of a recently-turned four-year-old, I’m not sure a two-year-old would be deeply scarred by what occurred onboard. Third, Delta is the one airline that does not compel young children to wear masks. I find it quite odd that Orban “tried calling the airlines and couldn’t get a straight answer from anyone” when Delta’s child mask policy is quite clear:
Children under the age two and young children who cannot maintain a face covering are exempt from the mask requirement.
The little one could certainly have come along.
CONCLUSION
The irony is that Orbans are now flying Delta, the one airline that would welcome their daughter without a mask, but chose to leave her home anyway. Perhaps that was for the best, but it’s an interesting twist to the story.

I know you are trying to say that it is the Barbara Streisand effect but I don’t believe they will get any kind of fame from this other than the short lived flash in the pan 10 seconds they already have. The mother even said “we can’t make her wear it!” My parents would not have given me a choice. “Put on the mask or you’ll regret it!” One thing my father never said was “we can’t control our children!”

I just flew from Denver to fort lauderdale and there were three dogs in my row and the row behind me. The dog next to me tried to bite me and when I said I would sue the owner and the airline if I was bitten they moved me not the owner of the dog. Yes, it does NOT make sense. My husband, myself, daughter, her husband and their two year old picked Delta JUST because they were understanding about 2 year olds. It is not only spelled out on their website, but just to make sure, my daughter called and spoke to them directly. And they bent over backwards to help with the two year old, allowing our daughter and husband to move seats around so 2 year old was in the seat closest to the window (pediatrician suggested that spot as the best one for a young child) and seated behind us. The flight attendants on Delta were great, and at no point did we feel unsure about their rules. These other parents sure didn’t work THAT hard to find out if their daughter would have been welcomed. We plan to fly Delta in the future.
The daughter was 2.5, so technically not exempt from the bs policy that is meaningless…. How about you be as concerned about the fact that we have well over 95% compliance in most areas and skyrocketing cases. But hey, you feel the need to be a tool and judge what you don’t understand. Congrats.

They should rent a van or a lil rv so they could take their daughter on a road trip all they will need a portable dvd player that’s you could charge it up in car to put it on the back of the headrest,blanket and a pillow and foods ,I’m wondering if she wear her mask when they go to stores or doctors office cause i know those are the places that have sign saying you have to have mask on before you go in

Why not just feel blessed that someone made a way for you out of “NO WAY?” Why demonize United Airlines? Everyone is trying to work through this nightmare and many people are on edge and even though some feel that taunting this virus makes them brave and unrelenting in the face of danger, some feel they might be effected and die prematurely and they have many things they wish to preserve their lives for. No one is wrong, rules are made to be adhered to. If you can’t get your child to comply with the airlines rules find other options like drive or fly Delta. Don’t shame United for trying to keep others comfortable and safe. Your rights are not more important than others. The press should not even give this oxygen. You have been blessed, move on!
