Great Coffee In Flagstaff, Arizona

Single Speed Coffee Roasters in Flagstaff served as a great place for a meeting and served up some great coffee that fueled me for my long drive to Southern California.

I wasn’t too sure what to think when I pulled up to the lot and saw this:

a building with signs in front of it

But the coffee inside was worth wading through the construction.

It’s always a good sign when the coffee is roasted on-site and the smell of freshly roasted coffee wafted out the door as I walked in.

I started with a cortado (it was my first cup of coffee of the day since I could not stomach more than a sip of the coffee at the Hyatt Place ABQ). I took the coffee upstairs where I had my meeting…there was a nice little area with couches and chairs.

I came back downstairs and ordered a flat white, which was not on the menu, but the barista was happy to make it. It came out bad…very weak with a huge amount of foam plopped on top.

The barista asked me how it was (after I tasted it) and I was honest… because there’s generally a great appreciation for coffee and the art of fine coffee at places like this (where a cup of coffee is $5). Without hesitation, a replacement was made and this one was much better, though the cortado will be my choice if I return here.

CONCLUSION

Flagstaff was my only real stop between Albuquerque and Palm Springs, yet the coffee was greatly appreciated and Single Speed was the perfect venue for a meeting about miles and points with my client (taking 10 people to Tokyo… goodness gracious). I look forward to returning.

Glad you were able to come through Flagstaff. I love living here! As I write this, I’m on the small CRJ700 on a quick flight from Flagstaff to Phoenix. You should fly from here. It’s pretty hilarious. 1 gate and zero amenities but I can leave my house 30 Minutes before the flight and still wait 10 minutes to board.
